^ I don’t think its that… they may just need exceptional production to match their lyricism. Ras Kass was hella dope over the Dr. Dre & Battle Cat beats… even on the “Soul On Ice Remix” he flipped it.

Ras was (and still is) one of the more well rounded MC’s. His problem (which for some strange reason has become even worse) is his choice of production. Sometimes you just have to say “self, I will no longer subject myself to wack beats” and just go all out on the production tip
