Chino XL – “90 Bars Of Intervention”
AUDIO By Gotty™ on April 10, 2009 at 11:18 amNo hook or chorus, all quotables. Chino goes in.
“I fly to Canada to ask Celine Dion ‘why the long face?’…”
I’m well aware that he’s one of those guys that you ever follow & enjoy or you feel like he raps way too fast for the brain to consume the mental food. Real hit or miss for most, but I still believe he & Rassy in his prime are/were two of the illest on the West without international recognition.
Off Chino’s upcoming album, RICANstruction.

Good Mornin TSS. I just woke up. Chino rips this shit. Damn!
Dude has a ton of skill on the mic, but for some reason I could never get down with his music.
However if you wanna hit us with an ill Ras Kass post I’m cool with that.
Ras Kass just seemed to have more swag with his stuff than Chino IMO.
Plus “Miami Life” is still to this day one of my favorite songs.
Ras was (and still is) one of the more well rounded MC’s. His problem (which for some strange reason has become even worse) is his choice of production. Sometimes you just have to say “self, I will no longer subject myself to wack beats” and just go all out on the production tip. In my opinion he’s still top 5 alive spittin, dude just hasn’t put out any concrete material. Maybe staying away from Johnny Law Man would help
I still enjoy Soul on Ice the whole way through

I’ll second that.
I used to wear that tape out in college.
On the real… at one point in time, I could’ve said that Ras was the greatest rapper of all time.
BTW… Rasassination is pretty dope as well.

so true, so true…
now if someone could just get that through that bulletproof pomade of a hairstyle…
*ahem*
Anyway, Chino’s the sh*t too, but actually he suffers from the same affliction… Hmmm… Canibus had it too….
Wait…………a………damn……………minute…………..
If you think about it, Nas prolly has the best tin ear of all these upper echelon lyricists…. Scary isn’t it?
I’ve got my fav Rassy mixtape on the upload now.

(^ should be ready shortly if not already)
Back from when he was actually on the run.
Hmm are they too lyrically raw for a normal production? By the by, this joint bangs
^ I don’t think its that… they may just need exceptional production to match their lyricism. Ras Kass was hella dope over the Dr. Dre & Battle Cat beats… even on the “Soul On Ice Remix” he flipped it.
chino xl has lyrics for days but he always sounds like he’s off beat when he raps…like he’s tryin to jam so much information into his bars that he goes wayyyyy off track…i can only take him in small doses (pause)

i just DLed the miami life promo single the otherday…thats such a beautiful instrumental.
^ Word.
L.E.S.—Lyricists’ Ear Syndrome… i been tryin’ to tell y’all. some cats shouldn’e be allowed to have any opinion on their own production whatsoever. Chino, Rass and Nas are 3 of ‘em.
Just shut up, get in the booth and do what you do, and let the pros handle the rest=classics for all L.E.S. sufferers.
Black Canseco: they should pull a costanza and pick the beat that they don’t like. Do the opposite, it worked wonders for George. lol
Chino repped New Jersey…by the way
