I woke up this morning, rolled one, made coffee, sat down at my computer and this track was the first thing that hit my playlist. Due to the “laid back” nature of Sunday, it felt perfect for sharing.

Turbulence has quickly become one of my favorite Reggae artists and, as I keep digging through his library, my curiosity only continues to grow. Songs like this are where he shines as an artist because he is able to bring a positive message to the Reggae scene while also being able to relate to the listener. This semi “anti-ballad” is just the similar cry of so many celebrities, but Turbulence brings a passionate message that is uplifting as he delves into his own struggle to find someone who doesn’t love him for his dough. Oh, the woes of being rich and famous (see Kanye’s 808’s… money and his own pair of Nikes).

As Reggae has continued to dig its way deeper into my life and soul, this track has quickly skyrocketed up my charts and is now classified as one of my jams. Artists like Turbulence are true musicians in every sense of the word and are able to relay adamantly the passion for their music within their voices. I appreciate the work and determination of an artist to maintain their own sound without the loss of honesty and feeling, being that those characters are all but foregone in much of music. “Love Me For Me” is a fine example of such.
