I was noticeably absent from the whole MLB preview that the others did. Haven’t been a follower of the game in years & the only real interest I have is in the caps. But I did manage to watch a few innings of Sunday’s season opener with the Braves shanking the Phillies. The prolonged viewing was only so I could get a better look at the new authentics being worn by the Braves.

I’m kind of salty they would even consider any alterations to what was already a classic hat. The Braves, Yankees, Red Sox, Detroit. Those are all teams whose hats go further than just the teams or cities. They are pieces of American male fashion. Hats that “go with anything” status (sort of like camouflage*), interchangeable with other pieces of clothing & still socially acceptable. You don’t spit in the wind, you don’t tug on Superman’s cape and you don’t mess with those hats.

But at the end of the day…these is undeniably clean, the “A” standing out more than on the traditional on the field cap. Therefore…Must. Be. Copped. Sure, I’ve got like 7 or 8 similar caps yet I A.) I already told you I’m addicted to navy/white fitteds & B.) I like options…of sorts.
