Emphasis on the “Em” in the title. It’s plagued him ever since he rose to notoriety by appearing on that XXL cover and will more than likely follow him well into the 2nd quarter of his career. But the questions will never cease unless Asher records it for all to reference. A million interviews only dilute the message. The people needed a song…and well…
The haters wanna hate because I made it and I’m famous/but until you take my place/you’ll never know bout what it takes to make a record for respect/take a second to inspect/when you look like someone else/what the fuck do you expect???
Point taken. Eminem blew, Bubba has the hillbilly schtick and Paul Wall, well, he’s Black. Is there no other slots for chemically imbalanced lyricism from White rappers with one foot in the mainstream? Everything we’ve heard from Asher thus far has been stellar at the least so, he’s earned the right to be heard. Asleep In The Bread Aisle will determine if should stay that way.

so..yea
Curren$y- “This Ain’t No Mixtape” dropping on 4/21
Okay, so he copped to it. Does that mean he’s supposed to get a pass now?
I like this a hell of a lot better than em’s recent drops
I cosign debris words. But the em release has been talked about to no end. It is his gimmick. NO matter what you say 13 year old girls will buy his music a lot more than you or I will so he makes those tracks for them. It is the formula.
“and Paul Wall, well, he’s Black”
i chuckled a little at this
he can’t control his voice inflection. we’re not all fuckin aries spears! don’t get why it’s an issue, thats all..
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
It’s true though
sorry meant that @ xg4sx
… U can control your voice inflection to some extent.
I have yet to hear the stellar. Hooking up with high priced talent does not make an artist.
don’t know, if this has been posted yet. here is a longer version of the gay fish song of south park.

Lions Roar
=============
C’mon b.
What I’m most impressed with is this kids ability to get credible artists to feature with him.
Asher has skill… I just feel like he will have too much outside influence on this album. Hope he does well though.
busta totally murked him on that beat…wow
@elandyo
i know man, thats why i kind of chuckled when i read it
I don’t think you should be able to be a rapper if the tone of your voice is unpleasant.
“Hey, I’m gonna have Busta rap fast on a track with me” = “hey, I’m gonna introduce this chick I like to my friend, Denzel Washington”
as similar as asher is to em to the untrained eye…imo they have totally different styles. other than their voice sounds a little similar, their style and rhyme patterns are quite different. em came from the whole grunge back ground, while asher came from a”‘ …i’m bored at college , have a good upbringing, and kinna wanna rap” back ground. haters gon’ hate! DEUCES–
asher is good….nice to listen to, i’d really like to hear Em n Ash on a track 2gether..it be real sick.
Chester Roth?
The album is solid front to back, I really enjoyed it. and wasnt a fan originally

@TC
Bubba is from Georgia…..which is far from the “hillbilly schtick” you suggest. He’s a southern white rapper. Hell, Haystak is from Tennessee…and he doesn’t fit your “hillbilly schtick” but he’d be much closer than Bubba.
Eminem is a gimmick and is a pathetic representation of a REAL white rapper. Asher is not; he’s true to himself and is nothing like Feminem. Bubba Sparxxx was not a gimmick; he is true to himself and his upbringings (same goes for paul wall). Haystak is definitely the furthest thing from a gimmick when it comes to white rappers and it’s a shame clowns like Eminem get more shine than Haystak, Bubba Sparxxx and Paul Wall combined.
@ everyone else on the planet……quit comparing Asher to Feminem, let dude do his thing, and quit cosigning every fucking word Feminem says. He’s a corny, industry gimmick; he is not hip hop by any stretch of the term.
Asher Roth is nowhere near Eminem’s level. Their style aren’t similar at all, and Eminem would destroy Asher any day
