Like rap beefs, your greatest rival defines your career. For these two basketball players, their rivalry not only defined them but also the sport they represented.
Today is the 30 year anniversary of the historic 1979 NCAA championship between Ervin “Magic” Johnson’s Michigan State Spartans and Larry Bird’s Indiana State Sycamores. Propelling college ball into the spotlight, the legendary match up was the first clash of the heavyweights on a national stage as Michigan State took the title. As a result, the blueprint of March Madness was born with this duo and so it all began. And it continued as both superstars went pro and the ensuing battles between the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers helped the NBA become the entertainment juggernaut it is today.
This should be a holiday, for real.

Man, I remember my pops making me watch this game with him. I don’t remember much else other than Magic’s squad won. But this game made me a fan of Larry Bird and when he went to the Celtics made me a C’s fan for life.
Magic ftw.
Wesley Snipes, pay your taxes!

Let’s be clear from the jump – STANKY STUFF is not just a STANKY LEGG remix. Changing the concept of the song altogether, Aspektz transformed the booming baseline and hypnotic keys of the GS Boyz smash single into a smokers anthem. With a frest twist and chronic delivery, Stanky Stuff begs the question, “What was he smoking?”
Aspektz, from the acclaimed True Thorobredz, has been working hard with a huge 2009 at the horizon. Locked in the lab, he is poised to release new material every week in anticipation of Academic Probation. Make sure to tune into http://www.aspektz.com for all the updates.
