Run DMC had to get a small percentage of the world’s population behind them before Adidas threw their corporate support behind them. Wale drops his first single & he’s already got tees, these by Goodbully, to commemorate it. Couple this shirt with the New Era fitted he’s already gotten (which I saw someone rocking and it seemed weird, considering it wasn’t Wale) and Wale’s corporate endorsements are light years ahead of acts from previous generations.
The shirt caught me eye off top; the song did not. Not that it’s “bad,” it just wasn’t remarkable in any way. Perhaps I’m not completely ready for or accepting of all the genre-bending that’s occurring in Hip-Hop & this will grow on me though.
