“The Beginning Of The End…”
Everything Else By Beware on March 27, 2009 at 6:58 pmIt’s finally officially official.
Above is a video of the press conference from TI’s sentencing. Since he has 30 to 60 days to begin his sentence, the video below is (presumably) one of his final TV interviews before his enrollment in our nation’s fine federal penal system.
From the looks of it, Cliff actually seems pretty happy to get it under his belt and over with. I’ve personally never been in any situation of the sort, but I sure as hell wouldn’t be doing it with a smile on my face. With that attitude, homie will be out before he knows it.

Never really been much of a T.I. fan, but I hate to see another blackman incarcerated. Be strong man, have a resilient spirit and a indomitable mind. Get ya weight up too, hit the pull-up bar and push some plates!!!
Tip’ll be aight. He prolly got goons already on the other side.
Dude’s done time before, he already knows what it is.
I’m guessing he has another album in the clip too.
Nas & Damian Marley To Release CD In June
==============================
Werd?
^ you pissed like I am @ that bs?
Dude’s done time before, he already knows what it is.
==================
yeah, he’ll be a-okay in there or should be.
Nas / Jr Gong !!! there is another Rap/Reggae famous album ?
but that will be a dope album for sure, can’t wait to listen !
if it’s with the level of Road to zion, that will be a classic fo real !
^ I’m just puzzled as to what the eff Nas was thinking, lol ?
I know they collabo’d before but the shit seems hella random to me.
with his high profile i doubt they wont have him in PC or a fed where it’s mostly non violent white collar criminals.
i was gonna crack a joke at the way he said “similar” (1:25), but i’ll save it because T.I. seems like a very stand-up dude and you gotta respect that.
“but I hate to see another blackman incarcerated”
^save that noise though…what does him being “black” have anything to do with catching a legit charge?…save the race card, were in 09 baby.

Real talk.
I don’t think I’ve seen anyone handle adversity & revamp their image as successfully as Tip.
I always respected him as an artist, but the way he handled his whole ordeal has made me respect him as a man.
1 800 TIPS
All I know is pain does produce good music b/c I’m still playing Paper Trail.
I’m just puzzled as to what the eff Nas was thinking, lol ?

he was thinking, “damn, that last album was kind of a brick, i better jump on the reggae train. Yeah, white people groove to reggae & white people got money”
wondering what the albums gonna sound like?…toss in any Dead Prez CD and spit one verse out of every song with a jamaican accent. DONE DEAL.
@ Kthundo: We’re in ‘09??? Oh yeah, I forgot Obama is President now so I can’t make statements like that anymore. Thanks for clearing that up my ninja. Fuck outta here!!! Legit or not legit I don’t like seeing dudes going to prison, especially if you’re Black.

I can admit it, I judged Paper Trail kinda harshly. All the crossover stuff kinda overshadowed some of the albums more introspective moments 1st time around. I’ve been playing Paper Trail more then any other album released last year.
“Dead & Gone” is a gem. JT on the hook confused me at first, but this song (along with “No Matter What”) is prolly one of the realist joints Tip’s ever done.

you can make any statement you want…i guess its up to you if you want to sound like an ignorant fuck
i just think its funny that every time a black dude goes to jail, cats like you gotta make it a point to bring up the race card eventhough the arrest, investigation, trial, and sentencing had nothing to do with race…im sure the amazing plea agreement T.I. got was just “the man trying to keep a brother down”
in the words of Trick Daddy:
“You know yall going to mess around and complain about slavery, that was over 450 years ago. Black folks need to move on.”
now i know you didnt exactly mention slavery, but im sure thats whats at the core of your need to mention race…like i said, DO YOU, but if you need to feel a little more “Vanglorious” (c) Professor X (R.I.P.) feel free to get at me…you can borrow my “Black Fist Pick” & Cross Colors tee-shirt
KThundo FTW.

And it did but I still feel like some of the stuff he said on “Live Your Life” was some of the sharpest in years, both the way he said it & what he said.
I’m the opposite of moderate, immaculately polished with the spirit of a hustler and the swagger of a college kid.
Allergic to the counterfeit, impartial to the politics.
Articulate but still would grab a nigga by the collar quick.
Whoever havin problems, with they record sale just holla TIP.
If that don’t work and all else fails, then turn around and follow TIP.
I got love for the game but ay I’m not in love with all of it.
Really the whole 2nd & 3rd verses are on par w/just about anything out there.

he’d be done quicker but he’s busy writing the follow up to his first smash hit single:

That’s what I mean. Even though the track is a straight pop confection, dude is saying alot of real stuff.
“The hootin’ and the hollerin’, back and forth with the arguing
Where you from, who you know, what you make and what kind of car you in
Seems as though you lost sight of what’s important with the positive
And checks until your bank account and you up out of poverty
Your values is a disarray, prioritizing horribly
Unhappy with your riches cause you’re piss poor morally
Ignoring all prior advice and forewarning
And we mighty full of ourselves all of a sudden aren’t we?”
Chuuch!
@Kthundo
LOL
You stoopid for that one lol.
1. Is it just me or is TI the new LL Cool J…that dude licked his lips the whole four minutes like he got done eating a bucket of churches chicken…
2. I was nervous he woulda tried to come with the intelligent talk and slip into a Mike Tyson moment…”I…I, I , I , use my mind more than my hands”…
3. It is bad to see somebody go to jail regardless of who they are…famous or not…jail ain’t the place to be…
Anotha Time,
Mally
eventhough the arrest, investigation, trial, and sentencing had nothing to do with race
—————————
Really?
Soooooo poverty, materialism and self-hatred that permeates the community and fuels the paranoia of cats like TI, and the jealousy of “community folk” weren’t @ all variables?
I see. Thanks for clearing that up. I’ll happily put my dashiki away now.
@ Khtundo: It shows how much of a fuckboy you are, the way you managed to extrapolate all that from one sentence. I’ve had friends and family in the system, and even though they made the wrong decisions, I hated having to visit them let alone see them in court. Being black might not mean shit to you, but it does to me, and my statement had fuck all to do with pulling your magical so-called race card. If you can’t understand that then go stuff your bitch-boy-internet-geek-cyber-thug-hater-chris-clone self back in your mother’s worthless hole. Don’t test me.
Internet Gangbanging isn’t necessary…is it?
little more “Vanglorious” (c) Professor X (R.I.P.) feel free to get at me…you can borrow my “Black Fist Pick” & Cross Colors tee-shirt

being a bit hypocritical aren’t we?
how did nas catch a bricc?

I’m black and I don’t see anything wrong with someone like T.I. do time for the guns he got caught with……he wasn’t about to start a revolution or nothing, he was going to bring sorrow to another black family for some petty street shit….
The childish criminal element of our society needs not be embraced, its left our community an arrested development filled with gullible slave minded d!@#k riders of anything that has to do with celebration…..If you embrace integration in America then live with the laws and stop complaining.
The only thing I enjoy about the case is how he has redeemed himself. He’s been on edge till he caught these charges and this would have been better than him being killed or getting more of his posse getting hurt as well
with his high profile i doubt they wont have him in PC or a fed where it’s mostly non violent white collar criminals.
=================================================
I guess TI’s Road to Redemption might have blurred our vision a little…but he did get caught buying automatic weapons and a silencer…I think him only getting a year and a day alone should count as his P.C.
LOL @ Amp’s gif reference. It’s a msgboard off in this joint.
FYI – sentencing laws have long been biased. Ex. – look @ the recent changes of mandatory mins. after years of cries of racism.
OED: “Soooooo poverty, materialism and self-hatred that permeates the community and fuels the paranoia of cats like TI, and the jealousy of “community folk” weren’t @ all variables?”
===========
@ OED: sooooo youre saying that people of every skin tone and creed arent dealing with those same issues and its just “a black thing”?…those are all good points as to why T.I. felt the need to tool up, but those have nothing to do with his trial or another “black man” going to jail…we’re talking race here, everything you mentioned were money issues…once again, good points, you just missed the point.
maybe its time to keep out the dashiki and freak it with a matching kufi

=====================
@ Flea: so let me get this straight…you dont formulate any progressive thoughts, fail to respond intelligently, obviously let some dude youll probably never meet get you shook, but i shouldnt test you why?…[sarcastic]im such a cyber thug for speaking truth and discrediting what you have to say without feeling the need make personal attacks at you and yours?[/sarcastic]…riiiiiiiiiight, you didnt really think that one through, then again, it seems like nothing youve said has been thought out…which is how we got here in the first place…how about this, you go get some thoughts down on paper, work out your ever apparent self-esteem issues, and come on back with something intelligent to say…either that, or switch up the User Name because youre embarrassing yourself (good thing the net affords you anonymity)
===================
old.sole: “being a bit hypocritical aren’t we?”
===================
@ old.sole: obviously sarcasm is lost on you…i’ll make sure to throw in the “[sarcasm][/sarcasm]” to avoid confusion…as for the last NaS album, it was a personal let down, and also a wash down album with a good marketing ploy, say its gonna be called “Nigger”, grab attention nationwide, then switch it up…to each thier own, but it was a brick in every way in my eyes
===================
Gotty: “FYI – sentencing laws have long been biased. Ex. – look @ the recent changes of mandatory mins. after years of cries of racism.”
===================
i completely agree…the differences in mandatory sentencing when it comes to powder & crack cocaine makes that ever apparent, but i think we can all agree that when it came to T.I.’s sentencing, his race didnt work against him or come into play whatsoever so there’s no point in the “race card” being played by Flea…that was my whole point…meh…already dedicated too much time to this BS…feel like an INTERNET SOIDIER!!!
