in reality, is there any rapper who can sound shitty w/the roots backing them? I mean skip the obvious answers like the GS Boyz and shit. But any legit rapper who could fuck up the opp?
None really comes to mind… except maybe Nas. I hear he fumbles his lines on occasion when under the influence.
This should just be the Roots’ show. Just a parade of artists each night backed by the Roots every night. Pick 3 artists each night, have them do 2-3 songs and short interviews in between.

I agree with Rdiggity, I would love to hear a band like ‘maroon 5′ play alongside ‘the roots’ for a couple of sets….this show should be epically acclaimed just because it has a platinum selling group as its house band….
