First of all, a big middle finger to the Fader Fort for being so out the way of everything else SXSW-related and being such pricks about getting the wristbands (despite RSVP’ing) thus I missed out on last night’s G.O.O.D Music event. But I’ve seen Kanye twice, met GLC the night before (who complimented me on my Crooks & Castles shirt) and I wasn’t trying to be in that crowd after being here 3 days, running on 8 hours of sleep max. At least that’s what I keep telling myself.

What did happen is we caught the show at The Austin Music Hall and got to see Bun B rock the stage for the home state crowd, who virtually hung on his every word. Being the humble dude we keep telling you he is, he wasn’t even the headline act; he just ripped the stage in the manner that professionals do and kept it moving. Aside from the music, my highlight from up in the VIP wing was spying the Air Yeezy’s in person. I still don’t want them, but it was cool to see the outsole glow whenever he moved to a dark section of the stage. Other than the strap they look like the Cool Gray III’s when if you don’t cuff them behind the jeans.
