Teddy, Aaron & Damion Were The Future
AUDIO By Gotty™ on March 29, 2009 at 10:15 pmWell, not really.
But they did put together a few memorable chunes while recording as Guy. True story, if you want to guess my age, I was getting my early slow grind on @ the little parties when these cats were making noise. Nothing more etched in my memory than those pubescent pelvic thrusts while the little casette tape DJ played “Let’s Chill” back to back.
Enough of my “Wonder Years.” Hit the break, grab what you need, then go try to make a baby.

Lol at pause
luckily my parents had good taste in music, brought me up on some classic shit
LOL @ …Pause
“Guy Shots” just sounded a little too Karamo.
Crazy cause I got an Aaron Hall story too.
This is in 97, I’m kicking it in Norfolk with my college homies & my man Dee has to go to the DMV to take the written test. We’re online waiting & guess who walks in & tries to cut the line? None other then Mr. Aaron Hall himself. Dude started spazzin when they wouldn’t serve him & told him to wait in line. He was on some “Do you know who I am?” shit, just ranting & raving like he just did a 1 on 1.
Still, Robert Kelly owes that man a check.
LOL@Pause
but Guy did have some hits
so, I guess Aaron Hall really did say “dumb bitch” on “Piece Of My Love”…
…did he?
Amp: They both owe Charlie Wilson money.
But more importantly, she needs to be a cooler chick sooon

Fucked up part is, Uncle Charlie has more of a career going these days then either of his “nephews” lol.
^ *reminisces on his Chess King wardrobe*
I did The Running Man so much I wore holes in the bottom of my shoes.
true story
^ and that could be directed to either one of you, either BC or Amp, most likely BC, lol
*reminisces on his Chess King wardrobe*

Luckily, that’s one fashion trens I missed lol.
But I could do the Running Man like my life depended on it.
Throw on the New Jack City soundtrack & watch me go to work (no BDK) lol.
new jack swing on my nuts
Yeah Uncle Charlie needs to sit down his nephews. It’s a shame A. Hall is more known for being Glory Velez’s dead beat baby daddy(No Al B Sure) lol.
^ true lol

Real talk…are Charlie and Aaron related…? when Guy did that “Yearning for Your Love” cover of the Gap band song, I was trying to explain to this girl that it was a remake, and I pulled out that “Red” Gap Band album and I couldn’t get over how much Aaron Hall looked like ole boy; I thought it was his daddy but never cared that much to look it up.
Hold up, it ain’t over. I said the comments ain’t over!
*gets the pick and pumps up the front part of my fro to fake the hightop. adds a little hot water to set off the waves till momma comes back with my s-curl kit*
scrounges around for my old UMen turtleknecks…
Yep-yep!
T-Pain owes Teddy a check too lol.
On Quincy Jones’ “Q’s Jook Joint,” there’s a slow jam called “Heaven’s Girl” featuring Charlie Wilson, Aaron Hall, *and* R. Kelly. I think it’s fairly clear that R recognizes his influences, and Aaron gives props to Uncle Charlie as well.
Of course, the highlights of that album are Tamia’s debut on the remake of Mica Paris’s “You Put A Move On My Heart,” and Brian McKnight, Take 6, and Rachelle Ferrell’s lips doing a great rendition of “Moody’s Mood For Love.”
metal winged tips, cardigans with a mock turtle neck and let’s chill on the soundtrack. still couldn’t get a girl to dance with me. first CD i purchased with New Jack City soundtrack.
Teddy was the Timbaland of his era - minus the roids… Brotha produced jams for everybody while they were still on: Michael Jackson, Heavy D, Guy, Christopher Williams, Bobby Brown, Big Daddy Kane… If you was hot from about 88-96, Teddy had somethin’ to do with it.
yep-yep…
Maybe he was more of the Diddy of his time.
And since we doin’ Aaron Hell, where’s my Gap Band Stray Shots?! I want a week of funky Black Band Strays… I’m talkin’ some Time, Gap Band, EWF, P-Funk….
c’mon, youngin’s retrospect your elders.
I co-sign with Canseco
No Bromo
