Playboy Tre is the Georgia dirt. Not the filthy aspects of it, but more so the idea that he’s grounded in representing the experiences gained from his home state. His approach to making music, as so it seems with his life, is no frills. When he screams “Balllinnnn” in his YouTube updates, it’s a direct contrast to his music, which is based around authenticity (“real aggressive b*tch”) and the transparency that comes with staying ten toes down. He gives you his struggles and shortcomings, hopes and dreams along with the hurdles and highs that come with it all. And in the process, the music that it brings forth.

TC displayed “Good Bye America,” which I love for the car because it sounds triumphantly bouncy with it’s horns & Tre’s deep growl. But here’s two other tracks I favor that may be worth your time.

Playboy Tre – “Bleachers” — Back to the roots, music based around a schoolhouse aesthetic with a simple bass slap & lyrics.

Playboy Tre – “Liquor Store Mascot” — Tre’s affinity for drinking, I assume, is equal parts reality & stage prop. The catchy, memorable hook gives the song a lighthearted feel while the lyrics are more Georgia politician. Think early Field Mob music.
