You may have read about Prodigy’s latest letter from prison.
It hit the net recently and the Mobb Deep member stirred a minor storm up by discussing his thoughts on the current state of hip-hop, listing his Top 40 emcees and by throwing a few unnecessary shots when addressing Vibe‘s “Best Rapper Alive 2008.”

I’ve waited as patiently as possible and now the day is here. I’ve finally got a quality version of “F*ck Yall,” the lead single from DJ Quik and Kurupt’s Blaqkout, which leaked via DJ Nik Bean’s Streetz of L.A. 7 mixtape. For lack of fair judgement, I stapled my lips closed to avoid the speaking on the terrible radio rip Read the rest of this entry »

Saigon, who was nearly absent in 2008 other than his Just Blaze produced banger “Believe It,” seems to be on a mission to be in everyone’s consciousness for 2009. First it was his Youtube video taunting Mobb Deep affiliate Un Pacino with his shirt off and back & forth with Atlantic. Then, it was his short-lived beef with Joe Budden that was interesting but forgettable to say the least.
All of that behind him, Sai seems to be back on the right track with Read the rest of this entry »
“I used to get paid by the week, never got paid by the streets, now I get paid by the beats and that’s a fancy way to say I’m broke as hell.”
The short PR that came with this Tanya Morgan track was so eloquent, it saved me the time & trouble of trying to explain the concept & blather about the beauty of this song. Read the rest of this entry »

Not that I give a rat’s behind about baseball* nor do I have anything but Southern Negro in my blood so I can’t claim lineage to anything but the USA. Both factors aside, these NE’s, produced for a few countries participating in the World Baseball Classic, are solid creations. Simple colorblocks, country flag on one side & WBC logo on the back. As if this whole thing couldn’t get any more twisted.
Chris Brown’s manager is reportedly the woman whose text message to the R&B singer triggered the alleged altercation between him and girlfriend Rihanna, according to TMZ.
The gossip Web site is reporting that a source identified Tina Davis, 39, as the one who sent Brown a late-night message the night before the Grammy Awards. Davis has guided Brown’s career since his debut. There had been speculation in the past that Davis and Brown were romantically linked (though it has never been confirmed), and the police report indicated that the text came “from a woman who Brown had a previous sexual relationship with.”
I know that older male-young female molestation is bad. Over the past few years, older female-young male relationships have become commonplace in public schools & condoned over the innernuts. Realistically, this old buzzard probably started breaking Chris off Read the rest of this entry »
