I’m pretty sure almost everybody around here remembers walking out the house in a similar fashion a few years ago. Polo, Nautica, Tommy, Starter and Eddie Bauer were the brands du jour and we walked around high school/college like it was an urban country club. Poppin’ tags meant leaving them on (and visible) so everyone knew how much you paid (or didn’t pay). Well, the Los Angeles Unified Sound District does and they’ve created a mixtape to celebrate the era.
Boasting appearances by Blu, Pac Div, U-N-I, Diz Gibran, & Dom Kennedy this West Coast collective will have you miss the bus (or carpool) if your not careful. Backcover with tracklisting after the break.

Shits fire.
That Blu/Miss Jack Davey joint is crazy!
Perry Ellis and Pepe was one of those brands too. It’s amazing how cats all across the US had similar fashion at one point or another.
Only still rock Polo and Nautica.
JACK DAVEY loves HER
I wore Nautica for a minute b/c it always seemed to have bolder colors but nice plain designs.
Everytime I look at the cover and see the back of that dudes head I think of Ghostface… Seems this has nothing to do with him however. hmm….
nice!!!… Imma pull out the Polo jacket just for the occasion… might even get the cut this week just for kicks… lol… let’s see how out of place I’ll look next too the tight pants/cool kids of today…
