You can’t go wrong with this pic right?

On Saturday, we all circled the wagons around LC with our desire for him to use the mic again as an emcee. Say what you want about 808′s, but Kanye hasn’t really done much singing outside of that album. Sure he’s all over the place promoting the album, but he isn’t flooding us with new material stuck in singer mode. On the contrary, he’s actually dropped a few verses that might have gone unnoticed over the past few weeks. Rounding back in rap shape, he’s hopped on a few R&B cuts.

I drove around with this song almost exclusively on repeat last Friday while running errands. This song has that “Rock With You” 2K9 vibe to it and Kanye slides right in on this club ready track. Hell, Kanye doesn’t even sound rusty on this.

The-Dream Feat. Kanye West – “Walking On The Moon”

I’m feeling this song too, although it just about as pop as you can get before it reaches the point where you get tired of hearing it. I could do without Ne-Yo on here, but it is what it is. Kanye sounds like he’s still working on his breath control on this verse, but other than that it’s good to go.

Keri Hilson Feat. Kanye West & Ne-Yo – “Knock You Down”

The key to both of these songs is Kanye appears to have put heartbreak behind him and he’s ready to get back to business. Both should get enough airplay to get people acclimated to him rapping again as well. I’ll probably get tired of hearing them at some point, if they do as well as they should, but they’re fresh now and that’s all that matters.

BONUS — Consider this your daily dose as well.
