Ghostface would never “get you back like that” nor would he “ever be the same again,” Rihanna.
Don’t you ever forget it.

Speak of the devil…

Sea Shell Clams,
Strictly Halal Meal, No Spam,
Chucky Cheese, With The Black Eyed Peas,
We drink iced teas, whilst chomping on after dinner mints,
Parlaying with fly chicks because we got no room for salty bints,
But anyway, yeah Ghostface, dude is one of my emcee heroes..
GHHHHOOOOOOSSSSSTTTTTFFFAAACCCEEEEE
I bet Chris Brown wont talk shit back to this dude…I like how he called her name out in the beginning…
New Ghostface = How to make any day a better day.
This is a potential taster from his proposed R&B project, possibly?
Don’t fuck with Iron Man!!! ***dusts off Supreme Clientele, puts on bath-robe with Jesus-piece***
ghostdeini!!!!!!!!!!!
i wanna see an mtv cribs “ghostface edition” just to see how many furs dude’s got in his closet. PETA’d be outside…paint buckets ready and all

(c) Ghostface
I think ghost need to bring back that gold eagle braclet joint. ill shit indeed.
Ghost = G.O.A.T.
@El Rosado, he’s good but not that good fella.
G.O.A.T. = Rakim
@Baby Paw
But Ghost is HIGH up there.
Always been in my top 5. Stay rocking Ghost.
*Waits on TC to dump on The Pretty Toney Album*
@E.Brock, I’ll tip my hat to Ghostface for Ironman & Supreme Clientele, both full marks.
I think Bulletproof Wallets as well, yeah his first 3 solo sets, top notch stuff!
Bulletproof Wallets over The Pretty Toney Album, but hey that’s just me.
@ Baby Paw: Rakim is a God MC, no question but when was the last time he did anything relevant? That “addictive” joint and a couple other guest appearances. His last solo album was a decade ago. And to be perfectly honest, while his catalog with Eric B. is the stuff of legend, I’m not so sure is solo catalog compares to that of Ghost. He doesn’t have a “supreme clientele” or an “ironman” in his solo catalog. He has good albums no doubt, The 18th Letter is terrific, but I still don’t think it’s touching any of Ghost’s classic solo albums like SC or Ironman.
Just my opinion, I’ve said before, say it again, based off his catalog, his live show, his originality, his style, lyrical ability, and longevity, amongst other factors, I think Ghost is the best emcee of all time. To each their own though my friend.
Ghost is my top 5 no doubt…but fucc that album.
Fucc The Master while we’re at it…
Oh yeah…
Ghostface Killah > Rakim
Easy.
Pretty toney is sickness. A welcome change.
Big doe rehab was horrible though, and I lost so much respect for dude after this:
[www.youtube.com]
Ghost is the greatest of all time.
While I appreciate everyone’s opinion. That statement is pure fact. And disagreeing means your opinion is WRONG. Yes, there are such things as wrong opinions lol
@El Rosado, I hear what you say, but Rakim’s just taking a sabbatical at the moment, he’ll be back, ok maybe he won’t, that’s just wishful thinking on my part.
Yeah, your points of view in relation to Ghostface carry weight, make that heavy weight, and yes Ironman, Supreme Clientele, his style, swagger and overall mic control whether in the studio or live, is second to none.
But with Rakim, man I’m telling you, you listen to the lyrics he spat over 20 years ago, and I’m still finding multiple meanings in what he spat, that’s like two decades down the line. The way he forges a rhyme together, it’s like some super science thing, but he does it with so much ease, and makes it pallatable.
The Master sucked as an album, but the set from 1997, that had some bonafide gems, even if the overall set kind of fell short of expectations.
Shame he didn’t come with more solo sets but alas, I guess it wasn’t meant to be. Dude still sounds so advanced over the rest of the pack, he must do some serious reading and eat plenty of vitamins to get like that.
Also, no dis-respect to Ghostface, but half the time, I can’t even make sense of what he is talking about. Hohoho, naa just jesting, he’s good, very good indeed, just not good enough to be G.O.A.T. in my humble opinion (of course).
I’ma have to disagree on Big Doe Rehab being horrible. I actually think it’s his 3rd or 4th best album depending on your mood after Ironman and SC.
The Barrel Brothers, Yolanda’s House, Walk Around, Yapp City, Rec Room Therapy, I’ll Die For You, Paisley Darts, Shakey Dog,, Killa Lipstick…man those joints are bangers!!
We Celebrate and White Linen Affair are good for what they are, in the vein of cher chez la ghost.
And he took cats to school Supa GFK.
I can see his position. I copped the album the day it dropped even though I already had the leaked version. Certain artists I gotta buy their shit, Ghost definitely being one of them.

CO….MUFUGGIN….SIGN!!!
@ Baby Paw: Rakim will drop an a solo album when…well shit, probably never again, lol.
LL Cool J’s The G.O.A.T !
Scarface > Ghostface
Bulletproof Wallets over The Pretty Toney Album
————————————————————————-
co sign my dude.
bullet proof wallets was so dope to me…the internet prerelease was better then retail.
didnt they fuck up the sequencing?
@El Rosado, ah well, shit happens, but still his back catalogue (minus The Master) is pretty awesome.
Also, KRS One, man he’s doper than Ghostface as well, I’m not talking KOCH Records era KRS, but Criminal Minded until I Got Next era, plus the live shows, the interviews, the whole nine and the in between.
Here’s the top 3:-
1. Rakim
2. KRS One
3. NAS
BTW, I appreciate where Ghostface is coming from about downloading the leaks. CDs go for between 4 and 5 quid/bucks/dollars these days.
However, without getting side tracked I think leaks might be a thing of the past Ryan Leslie and The Dream have kept it pretty water tight with theirs, must have a designated leak team or something always on alert. But I think for major releases, it might be game over (ish) erm.
If you are arguing if someone is the greatest of ALL TIME, why does it matter if he has or hasnt done anything relevant lately?
Off top too many people confuse G.O.A.T. greatest of all time
with F.O.A.T. Favorite of all time
to much
I love Ghost one of my top 10 favorites and a great emcee but the greatest is B.I.G. with Rakim a close very close second
Bulletproof Wallets was super dope though they didn’t get the samples cleared and the sequencing was way off (with The Sun not even being on the album though it was on the cover)
The Hilton, The Forest, Maxine, are high on my favorite ghostface songs still. Great frikkin album
@Petey, yeah they did screw up the sequencing, like they also screwed up with the tracklisting on the back of Supreme Clientele! :)
@Aron, right on, right on!
B.I.G. with Rakim a close very close second
=====================================
lol….sure
Ghostface Killah > Rakim
^ True.
BUT, for some reason, I bet more folks would put Rakim in their top 5. Ghost got my respect simply with Supreme Cliente. Neither of them are in my top 5 though.

This is very true, however, I think that goes along with people giving Rakim the top spot as well.
He’s a pioneer and he set a standard, no doubt. But that shit got surpassed immediately upon the release of Illmatic and so on. And if you wanna be real, all 4 of his albums with Eric B. really don’t contain any innovative subject matter. Just mostly battle rhymes and staunch lyricism. That’s not the overall package there. He’d have to take to backseat to KRS and 2Pac as far as that’s concerned…
Ghost over “Don’t You Forget It”…. wow.
man, i love both rakim and ghost (no homo).
and i’d fight anyone of you cats for dissing ‘em both.
Big doe rehab horrible?! PLEASE
Supreme Clientele horrible?! PLEASE
Who said Supreme Clientele was horrible?
Ghost>Rakim Pound for Pound, no question
Top 3
Nas
Ghost
Jigga
Niggaz is working 20 years of relivency.
one.be.lo with elzhi in close second…
“fuck what ya heard, you believe what you want, the truth is what it is”
He said protect ya neck. jajajaja

True, but that’s not the case, at least with me. I truly believe Ghost is the G.O.A.T., obviously not everyone is going to agree with that statement, but it’s how I perceive things. Compared to Rakim, I see a more well-rounded, complete, dope emcee with a stronger catalog of music, so on and so forth.
Certainly I’m not going to deny that Rakim is an influential pioneer in this rap shit and a certifiable living legend. But I still don’t think he’s the best who ever did it. As TC said, to be real, all his joints with Eric B. were battle rhymes/lyrical joints.
I’ll put it another way. Metaphorically speaking, Rakim is akin to Dr. J. Dr. J is respected as being the first basketball player to consistently dazzle cats with acrobat, athletic dunks and play above the rim. He introduced a new dimension to the game. But if you ask anyone who the best NBA player of all-time is, nobody will say Dr. J. Sure they recognize him as a legend, a pioneer, etc etc, but nobody thinks he was the best.
By that same token, Rakim was an originator with his own lyrical style. He introduced some new shit to the rap game that wasn’t being done before. In spite of that, I don’t consider him the best. Like TC said, once Illmatic came out, Rakim’s innovation was taken to another level by someone else.
Rakim is a legend, a pioneer, a true original individual who innovated.
He just ain’t the GOAT.
Ghostface = G.O.A.T.
This track seems to contradict his previous lyrics “heavy rain fucked my kicks up / bitch laughin / first thought was beat the bitch up”
Ghostface Killah is literally 10x better than Rakim, sorry.
