“But you hope that you’re last. You just hope that it lasts….”

You know who should’ve performed 808 & Heartbreaks in Kanye’s stead?

Personally, I would say CuDi, but I can’t front that while listening to Drake’s So Far Gone, the thought did not cross my mind once or ten times. Say what you will about his lack of skill or originality, but as an entry level artist, he has a lot of potential (that sometimes seems a little bit misguided) and a huge following that could propel him to a very influential level.

He’s practically damned to succeed, solely on the strength of the moist teeny bopping girls and Lil’ Wayne stans. Regardless of what his future holds, I personally am still lukewarm about him, but do appreciate certain tracks he’s put forth.

Lust For Life is one of them.

It’s a rainy, gray day and supposedly we Geminis are astrologically predisposed to have moods reflective of the weather. So in my somber dullness, I have a playlist headlined by this song from the young sir. A very trippy, nostalgic look at the plights of early success, failed relationships, and the desire to re-establish that lost zest, and rediscover the hunger of the pursuit for greatness. All this in under 3 minutes.

Expertly executed in my unhumble opinion.
