Cartoons are more Bill Maher than Bill Maher on his most smoked-out, eff days.
Cartoons, by definition lend themselves to stereotypes and bias because they’re built solely on exaggerations of everything and everyone. Where the bulk of the unevenness comes in is that for generations the cartoon/animation industry was run by overwhelmingly white males who usually felt like they were either not cool enough or too cool for the room.
Hell, that’s the cartoon/anime world now. Throw videogames in that too.
The only reason this chunk got cut was because Seth went after the two biggest cashcows in recent television history—The Simpsons and Bill OReilly—both of which happen to be on the same network that cuts his check.
He’d have had a better chance getting this on the air if he had made fun of Isreal.
Weird how I was listening to Untitled when I saw this post. Even though I’m not a big fan of Family Guy that flick was straight. I cosign his sentiment on Entourage.

Its the best thing on HBO since the ended The Wire & The Sopranos besides Real Time with Bill Maher, Cathouse and those Brent Owens documentaries about hookers (well except the one about the tranny hookers in Hawaii. I knew a chick who was on one of those. My friend had always tried to holler at her when we were kids & we’d see her walking past the basketball courts. Years later, we ran into her while we were chilling on 125th. She asked me to walk her home on 121st & I was like “Cool”. We walk past a park & she’s like “You wanna hang out?”. I wasn’t really on it like that & I was trying to get back with the homies so I said nah, gave her a hug a bounced. It was obvious she was looking for more, but something didn’t feel right.
Fast forward a couple months & I’m coming home from the club. I go into the corner store & outfront, hanging with hte lil’ homies who sell crack, is this same chick. I say what’s up to the lil’ niggas, but I keep it moving. She definitely recognized me & saw that I recognized her. Fast forward a couple years & me & my homie are shopping on 25th & we see her again, this time in full streetwalker gear. She notices me & our eyes lock for a millisecond. I know she recognized me & I think she wanted me to holla, but I kinda figured I’d have to “Pay to Play” so I kept it moving..
Fast forward a couple years & I see shorty on one of those Huntspoint specials, pissing in the street.
I kicked myself for not trying to smash back in the day, but at the same time, I felt bad that shorty was out there like that.

your right about the Simpsons because no matter what’s goin on in the world at the time, they always seem to stay relevant. But I must disagree with you about the Sopranos ending. If Tony got “whacked” I want to see it. Brains in Carmela’s lap & everything just so there wouldn’t be any discrepancies about the ending.

Season 13 of the Simpsons[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Simpsons_(season_13)] was the last season I really watched, they were already falling off by then although they still had some gems. But IMO nothing beats those classic throwback joints from seasons 1-9, absolutely outstanding hilarious joints, probably the best of any cartoon ever in terms of quality for that long of a time. And I’ll still watch those classic reruns on the local Fox affiliate here in Chi if I can or just have it on in the background while I’m doing something, they run at 5,6, and 10:30, all in the pm.
