Ever wondered who would win if David Beckham and KG Da Kid were kicking basketballs into a hoop in your backyard?
So did Adidas.
That’s why they pitted their two superstars head-to-head in their latest viral marketing scheme. The ad is sort of reminiscent of Nike’s Kobe ads, in a manner of just showing athletes doing things us normal people couldn’t do. I mean, I could do this, I would just take me about 126 tries. At least.
Beckham does it in one.

Soccer players.
Respect our gangsta. That shit ain’t easy.
I could do that, but I don’t feel like doing it today. Nah, I’m fronting like a ma’fucka!!! LOL. That was a pretty cool ad though, I’m like this “viral” marketing thing.
I meant liking.
pffffftttt.
Seriously, I was doing that shit in third grade. Now I kick in ping-pong balls from that distance.
Soccer all day everyday. The Premier League, biggest sports venture in the world and most popular by a clear mile.
Them Arab Sheikhs and American Tycoons can’t get enough of it.
Soccer skills, respect the freshness, NBA is good, but nothing will touch the English Premier League, La League and of course The World Cup.
Niiiiice…..some new VLS/promos….
NOT EASY BUT I CAN DO DAT WITH REAL PROBLEM !
WITHOUT!!!
trust dah truth
I have never seen a full soccer game. (Do youth/peewee league games count?)
maybe watch “barcelone – lyon”, 11 march at 9 PM
(but it’s the european hour!) on live streaming with internet. owww

- Not in particular but since Adidas is going to show us anyway I guess I’ll check it out, haha.

LMAO…hey G, for one it’s called a “match” and no your kid’s matches don’t count, lol.
I like football (I refuse to call it “soccer”!), especially the World Cup and UEFA. It’s truly an international sport.
Gotty, you should watch the English Premier League, it is easily the best domestic league in the world, fast, furious, and super star players and super egos. It’s just totally bad azz.
The World Cup is fantastic to watch, next one is 2010 in South Africa, it should be brillo!
Also UEFA Champions League, is where the elite meet up.
There are two tasty matches coming up in the UEFA Champions League next Tuesday and Wednesday:-
Manchester United vs Inter Milan
Liverpool vs Real Madrid
I think in about 20 years time US Major League Soccer will probably have caught up. I saw the documentary on the New York Cosmos and the halcyon days of USA Soccer during the 1970s.
If USA had won the votes to host the 1986 world cup instead of Mexico, I think the ride would have continued, but alas it call crashing down like a house of cards, once Warner Brothers and other money types pulled out.

Where can one watch live soccer…excuse me football matches online?
I live & breathe football. I probably watched 12 or so matches over the past few days…La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A, Ligue 1, Premier League, UEFA Cup
I know that’s crazy.

These sites have links to all streaming sports.
I am assuming that you are in the US.
You should be able to stream at ESPN360.com.
The CL matches start around 245p/3p EST.
If you have cable- ESPN2 & ESPN Classic show one match each.
ESPN Deportes & Setanta show all matches.
@Baby Paw & Greums
I cannot wait for the CL 2nd legs.
Barcelona-OL looks good…especially with Madrid nipping at their heels in La Liga. That Atletico-Barca match was entertaining.

As a southern born American and a fellow gemini, I can honestly tell you .. you probably will not catch on as long as you are in the South..
Its VERY hard for football (Shout out to flea.. cause I am the same way) to compete with NCAA gridiron football because of the ingrained rivalries that the college games have which lock up a fall Saturday afternoon and evening. I mean imagine your choice is Alabama-Auburn or Chelsea-West Ham, to you .. that Iron Bowl is known and usually good even if its not your teams, but that Chelsea-West ham derby (pronunced dar-be) would have the most fire to it..by a country mile.
I have always said.. the only way to truly get the sprt into the US is to get the Southern States to adopt it.. and the only way to do that is to get the Universities to make it take hold… and that ain’t happening. But if you get into it.. its by far more enjoyable.. well until you find yourself checking scores and transfer dealings year-round.
BTW.. Gooners FTW
Man Ure is going down. Forza Nerazzurri!!!
