Could this be the year Crunk Rock actually sees the light of day? Is Lil’ Jon on the verge of monumental comeback which will have big named artists trading in there Auto-Tunes for some earth-shattering 808s and rambunctious ad-libs?
Doubt it.
Here’s a gang of Lil’ Jon songs anyway.
Lil’ Jon Feat. The Game & Ice Cube – Killas
The-Dream Feat. Lil’ Jon – Let Me See The Booty
Baby Bash Feat. Lil’ Jon & Mario – That’s How I Go
Ciara Feat. Lil’ Wayne & Lil’ Jon – Roll Call
R. Kelly Feat. Sean Paul & Lil’ Jon – Back It Up
DJ Class Feat. Lil’ Jon – I’m The Shit (Remix)
Swizz Beatz Feat. Lil’ Jon – I Do

If he were smart, he’d sign/co-produce M.O.P…. they’re already the hardest rockin’ non-punk/non-metal brothers out there and giving them a little country flavor could be the move.
Then again, does anyone even care about Crunk anymore?
goat. mos definitally. step down
naw… I don’t think so..crunk is dead…does anyone even care about M.O.P. anymore for that matter?
I thought lil john’s 15 minutes went up with Dave C.’s giving up the 50 mil
Even Dave C is like, “that igga still tryin’ to come back?”
But yeah, MOP’s never been commercially hot, but i always thought they were onto something big, genre/style-wise.
Anyone’s ever had the right to play angry, crunchy guitar and thumpin’ rock beats it’s hood folks. If Black folks embraced rock for the anti-establishmentary music force that it was MOP woulda been huge cuz their music was beyond wild.
In this era of autotune, trickin’ and pussified rappers, I’d welcome this yelling idiot back with open arms…
Say what you want about Lil Jon, but dude can craft a pretty nice beat. His instrumentals are dope as hell, to be honest.
@Deen…

I’d rather hear more autotune than Snap Yo Fingas part 2. No question.
@ TRife…
Yes, I agree, the man makes super-bangers/anthems….and should stick to it.
BC! That is the greatest idea ever.
I’m being so serious right now..
Just the other day i was thinking about that..
M.O.P. is so fucking amazing.. But who in the hell could make them mainstream accessible?
Lil’ Jon is the answer i was looking for..
Someone call The Real Anonymous..
lil jon will always be poppin/move at leat some units as long as folks still got bangers in they trunks…nothing shakes the funyuns off your local convenience store’s shelves like a lil jon beat bangin on a pair of 15′s
Lil’ Jon > Autotune.
No one can convince me otherwise…
crunk juice classic ! OKAAAAYY!!!!!!!!!!
crunk rock maybe will be dope… what?!!?!!
crunk ain’t dead, lil jon’s still alive…yyeaaaahh!!!
@ sherm,
This is why Crunk can’t be defined in such narrow terms. It’s really about bass, speakers, and actin’ a fool.
That’ll never go out of style as long as I have 12′s in the trunk!
I had the pleasure of seeing M.O.P. in Amsterdam in December. Even the laid back Dutch, can appreciate the hell rasising of M.O.P.
On the real though, Fame and Danze can’t be that buck forever, I could tell age was starting to slow them down a bit. Still a good show though.
