“Drop It Like It’s Hot” - Wrigley’s Suspends Chris Brown Ad Campaign

As a result of the “Pre-Grammy Bash,” Wrigley’s has decided to supsend it’s current ad campaign starring young Chris. It’s ironic considering that the ad campaign just ran last night during the Grammys *snickers*.
“Wrigley is concerned by the serious allegations made against Chris Brown. We believe Mr. Brown should be afforded the same due process as any citizen,” the company said in a statement released to MTV News. “However, we have made the decision to suspend the current advertising featuring Brown and any related marketing communications until the matter is resolved.”
While the details haven’t emerged, this is a tough break for the kid. They dropped his ass faster than Fantasia did high school. No matter what, he’s already been marked guilty in the court of public opinion. But really though, how many of us haven’t been in the driver’s seat, involved in a similar situation? He’s got that “Man, I’ll clock this bitch if she says one more slick comment.”

I can’t crucify the young’un just yet. I gotta find out more details. I don’t think it’s cool to put hands on a woman, but on the other hand, we have no idea what provoked this (alleged) “attack. Not to give CB a pass, I’m just saying, I’m sure Rihanna’s role in the incident is deeper then simply a “victim”.

Ridiculous. Clearly he beat her. Even if she did something like pass him some VD, or ran her mouth in regards to the size of his member or something equally heinous you don’t beat on a woman.
While there are exceptions to the rule - the once in a blue moon that a woman beats on her man and, when provoked he returns the favour - this is probably the exception rather than the rule.

Obviously none of us know what happened. The impulse to back dude over what happened is misplaced. Wait for the facts on either side. However the idea that it’s aiight to knock a bitch in certain instances, then supposing said instances must have transpired is a poor immediate reaction. It sounds a little like a rule: All victims must’ve done something to deserve it.
It’s the retard cousin of “she must have been wearing something to incur the rape.”
