Yesterday in Sayreville NJ, the marquee outside of Club Abyss boldly announced its big event of the day as Raekwon was there shooting the video for his bangin’ new single, “Wu Ooh,” featuring Ghostface and Method Man. Before The Chef arrived, I shot the breeze with Rae’s brother/manager DonPerrrion Woods as we stood in the club’s parking lot. Mid-convo, Don glanced up at the marquee emblazoned with “Built 4 Cubin Links 2.”
“They ain’t spell it right,” Don muttered. “Whoever put that up gotta fix it.”

It’s a great day in America. Obama gave a monumental speech last night in front of Congress while New Orleans streets were flooded with beads and parade floats. And there can only be one reason for the hoopla:

While we usually reserve the birthday shoutouts and Stevie song for Crew members, we’re going to make an exception and salute an American Icon that gets mentioned so much on this site that he might as well be honorary Crew.
