Let’s face it: BET’s The Deal is no Rap City. It’s not even a Rap avenue for that matter. Even with the increasing number of non-musical programming, you could always count on Rap City as an outlet for the more commonplace Hip-Hop that probably didn’t mean shit to CCC, but were valuable to fans of the culture. The NBA All-Star Break is finally upon us. Tons of basketball purists loathe the weekend since it’s full of nonsense like the GEICO game (i.e. HORSE with a corporate plug-in, new to this year’s All-Star Saturday.) It also boosts players’ egos towards a game which, in many instances, is lacking of any actual defense or significant meaning besides getting on SportsCenter’s top 10.

Now I’m an NBA fan at heart. I don’t think I’m as tight as these guys about reformatting the weekend. With that said the festivities could use some restructuring. Allow me to be the interim-NBA commissioner within these next paragraphs and attempt to make a few alterations to All-Star Weekend.

A picture of Madonna (not “The Madonna” you religious perv) recently sold for a whopping $37k and change…of which, Madge pocketed zero and was only originally paid $25.

A nude photograph of pop star Madonna, taken in 1979, has sold for $37,500 (£26,000), at an auction in New York. An unnamed buyer bought the picture, which had been expected to fetch $15,000 (£10,365), said Christie’s.

The explicit black and white picture was taken when Madonna was a dancer struggling to make ends meet. The full-frontal image, and five others taken at the same session, were sold to Playboy in the 1980s.
