But it seems there will be an efficacious pairing of styles on 16′s In The Kitchen.

been a killer mike fan / supporter / whateverer for a hundred thousand years right now and heres my requests for the new album:
1) no ‘save the world’ shit. leave that up to god and the hypocrits.
2) not too over-produced. low key and mean like on ‘the killer’ mixtape
3) dangerous. ala ‘pressure’. important. nuff said
4) storys. dude is a master storyteller. more please.
5) no ‘self-help’ dogma. i dont need a ‘soundtrack to my success’, i need a interesting killer mike album to listen to on the goddam bus ride to work everyday.
6) just more down-to-earth real life shit. no religion. i dont need that from rap. i need more of this: “the time is one twelve in the A.T.L, i exit one twelve with this bitch michelle, in the V12 headed for the hotel, hydro lit up weed in the air…”
etfuckincetera.
Freddank, the only 2 points I agree with are 3 and 4.
I’ve never heard mike on any ‘save the world’ shit. He addresses the troubles facing his community.
not too over produced? I’ve never heard mike spit over an ‘over produced’ track. If anything, they might be under produced and mike makes the track fiya with his lyrics.
No self help dogma? You might not need motivation to get off your ass and do something positive in your life but many others do. Hell, if you didn’t get motivated to do better things with your life when listening to ‘I pledge allegiance to the grind II’ then congrats to you; you must be Warren Buffet.
Your down to earth “real shit” comment is interesting. The line you quoted is from a mixtape record where mike was telling a story in said record. You already requested more ‘story telling-esque’ records on his up coming album. It sounds to me that you want more mellow, laid back tracks.
Although Mike does make some laid back, mellow tracks, Mike’s best work is when he is blowing up your ear drums with whatever is driving his passion at the time. His intensity in expressing his intelligent opinions is a huge part of what makes me blindly pre-order albums before he even releases one single on a mixtape. I know he’s going to come through with thorough, intelligent, socio-economic conscious, real life music.
Mike keep doin ya thang bruh, 16 in the Kitchen is LOOOOOOOONG overdue.

I just wanted to come in & say “amen” to that.
NOID&KILLERMIKE!GREAT
yeah whatever, southcake. im just stating my personal preferences, not writing a university thesis or some ulra-coherent deep n meaningful “intensely expressed intelligent” opinions shit…
i just like what i like homie, that ok with you?
otherwise u can go fuck yrself, either way its up to you.
WHAT I SAID WAS NOT A DISS OR INTENDED DISRESPECTFULLY TO ONE OF MY FAVORITE RAPPERS IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM – he’s just one dude i think i can be honest with. but if not, fuck it, no one should give a flying shit what i think anyway (if they’v got their shit together themselves) so whatever.
im gonna say whatever i want, fuck what u think.
y’know for something thats suposed to be ‘rebel music’, theres a lot of people listening to it that are hellbent on conformity of opinion
cuz, “southcake”; yep yousa lame. that about addresses your entire response except for this:
“y’know for something thats suposed to be ‘rebel music’, theres a lot of peple listening to it that are hellbent on conformity of opinion”.
Who the fuck told ya bitch ass to conform. What ‘rebel music’ are you listening to? I pointed out shit I agreed with and shit that I didn’t; this is a discussion forum and people tend to disagree in discussion forums; that’s the FUCKIN POINT!
Sounds to me that you want everyone to go fuck themselves if they don’t agree with you. More importantly, the music that you want to hear from Mike is basically the mixtape shit that is cool but is that conformity that you so ignorantly spoke against. Let you tell it, he should have left songs like “Can you hear me” and “God in the building” of of Pledge II (2 of the best songs on the album)
Bruh, you say no disrespect to dude yet you called some of his music “self help dogma” and “save the world shit”! How can you not expect true supporters of his music to not openly disagree with your faggot, puss’ass opinion.
Shutcha bitch ass up if you can’t handle somebody disagreeing with you on a mufukin discussion forum. Oh, and if no one should give a shit what you think, then why waste the bandwith of providing your opinion for all to read?
I too am going to say what the fuck I want; we all will einstein, we are in a discussion forum.
