My two favorite artists of early 2009 – Josh Martinez and Classified – just dropped their visual to the second single off Josh’s ultra-magnetic album The World Famous Sex Buffet. Featuring Skratch Bastid along for the ride, “Going Back To Hali” is a potent ode to their home town of Halifax, Nova Scotia, which is somewhere in Canada where they probably smoke reeeally good. Either way, it’s nice to see artists lighten up and actually have fun in their music videos.
I shouldn’t expect anything less from Josh, really.

@ Beware: Halifax is the capital of Nova Scotia, one of the Maritime provinces. They don’t smoke better than my British Columbia ninjaz though!!! Still, Halifax is a cool place to visit and has a lot of nice girls.
If anyone south o’ the border would take a second and listen you guys would know that Class and Josh have been doing their respective thing for a long time now…..it’s good to see they are finally getting some recognition.
Another guy read about on here a little while ago was Moka Only, whoever it was referred to him as a “new comer”. Anyone in Canada knows that he peaked at least 5 years ago when he was following around the Swollen Members trying to catch a bit of the spotlight. These days you can see him in any shithole bar playing for minimum wage. I could go catch him this weekend at the strip club but I think I’ll save my 10 bucks and put it to something less painful like waxing or something.

josh martinez is talented as hell. i jumped on his catalog after i read about him here, be honest, i am glad i checked it. i got on chicharones album, how many are there? and if there are more, could use some help. thanks in advance. i just got done working the longest day of my life. sell beer for a large formerly american owned beer company, and it is mardi gras…”originator of mardi gras” Mobile. sure could use some good music to wind my day down.

I am late on these guys, but I’m trying to make up for it by giving them their shine. If they don’t make their rounds on radio, or the blogs…..and are all from Canada, it’s hard to keep up.
