Beyond his knack for lyricism, J.Nash gives us gems in camcorder-quality video (…check), tin ear sound editing and splicing (…check), gratuitous tight-shots on his boyish underpants (…check), Skinemax softcore porn (…check), and questionable bruises on his leading lady (1:20 …check?).

But I said it before and I’ll say it again; I’ll be gosh darned if his beats aren’t a little hotter than you expect them to be. I can’t tell you how disappointed I am I won’t be able to weasel my way into his release party come May. Between “Cupcakin’” and this, I can say now unequivocally, I am J.Nash’s No. 1 fan.
