I'm thinking a possible replacement would be R. Kelly/McNulty - Both undeniably do good work, but are morally questionable in their personal lives. Both are simultaneously exiled/revered in their professional capacity. Both seem to understand familial happiness and connection but have a weakness of boning recklessly, etc... The hate/love parallel is strong for me. Good shit though, funny. The 3000/ Freamon is dead on, and the Scott Storch one - man, I feel like you just linked exactly the thinking I felt but couldn't out a finger on in that one. Thanks.
