“Grind Time Rap Gang, Bang Bang Bang!”
AUDIO By Gotty™ on February 1, 2009 at 12:49 pmI’ve decided this week will be Grind Time Un-Official Week.
That means I’ll be digging through my Mike folder, actual CDs & such to find a different Grind Time Official or Mike song to bless with you with daily. I say unofficial just in case I lose steam & decide to abandon the idea halfway through the week or skip a day etc.
The first offering is something appropriate for a Sunday morning. It comes off of Ghetto Extraordinary, unreleased material from 2005 for & which Tom Breihan refers to as Mike’s “long-lost-time capsule album.” For the song, Mike has takes on the P.O.V. of a repentant, conscious hustler that he’s used successfully on other occasions & it works well here is well. What it does is show the multifaceted aspects to him as an artist & as a man. Intellectual Morehouse man, dope boy, wizened inhabitant of the corner all wrapped in one, assisted by a staccato arrangement of instruments composing the beat and supplemented by gospel vocals.

GRIND TIME RAP GANG BANG BANG BANG!
I’m ready for this week.
Make sure you dedicate a day to “The Juggernaut”……
“The era of the bullshit is over
lyrically,
I will dismember and disfigure he,
Who figure he, ever near to me, or even dear to me,
Lyrically I will abolish he.
Stunnigly
Similar to crucifiction,
what I do to suckas on the daily
With the depth of my diction
Even drop science in my fiction
Just in case Agent Smith listenin
Who say the South ain’t rappin
Suck Nigga is you listenin”
I don’t want to spoil the rest of the song, so I’ll wait for you to post the track.
GRIND TIME RAP GANG…….BANG!…..BANG!!…BANG!!!
