This is what I’m talkin’ about.
Seeing as I’m only caught up through Season 1 of The Wire, not only did Jesse’s piece legitimize my slacking on the remainder of that series, but all the hoopla over the HBO drama made me realize how much I missed the true pinnacle of cable programming, The Sopranos.
Alas, the video above helps ease my sorrows.
An editor named Victor Soloman has decided to fill in the blanks for the sorry A&E viewers, via this 27-minute recap of all six seasons of the series…told strictly through profanity. In between the never-ending onslaught of f-bombs, you can catch a ‘Hey, I had her tested for AIDS,’ and even an ‘I love you.’ Needless to say, it’s pretty amazing.
If you’re in public, do yourself a favor and get out your headphones.

prediction : chris brown’s one year of jail !
pinnacle of popularity maybe but the Sopranos fell off seriously in the last two to three seasons and never hit the heights of realism of say The Wire season 4 — two different lanes though really.
The Wire’s season 4 theme song makes me sad.
NSFW. LOL.
Reading the title, all I could think of was this:

Anyways, I gotta step my Sopranos game up, I’m only on like season 2

=============================
And that’s the real difference between the two. The Wire never fell off.
Funny ass clip though.
the true pinnacle of cable programming, The Sopranos.

Initially, yes…
but by the end of its’ run…..not even close.
The true beauty of The Wire is that ANYBODY could get murked…at any time, anywhere….
The writers of The Soprano’s became so character-driven they didn’t even have the stugots to kill off Tony in the final episode. When Tony became the only one who could carry the show, authenticity was lost….
Like, for real???
This fainting, fat ass cat can’t be touched by anyone except a senile Uncle Junior???
Not even close….The Wire FTW
I agree that the Sopranos lost its fastball in season six, with Tony recovering from his gut shot for half the season and Vito sucking cock for the other half, but shit was right through season 5. Plus, Silvio and Bobby Jr. gettin ambushed wasn’t enough? I’ll take Tony layin on a safehouse bed huggin a machine gun like a Bada Bing girl’s titty waitin for the rapture while Phil’s jerkin off in Connecticut or some shit as a respectable finish. But I digress, it’s The Wire in KO in three rounds, no doubt.
yo beware,
you really need to finish the wire. coming from detroit, i think you’ll appreciate their depiction of baltimore as a city that has seen better days. I not taking anything away from the sopranos, but ragga is right, they are two very different shows.
peace,

The Wire did fall off in Season 5. Maybe from an A+ to an A- but it did.
Sopranos didn’t fall as far as people make it out the last couple seasons. Obviously the end was…controversial.
Clearly the top two TC dramas ever IMO, and you can’t go wrong with either.
Wait my bad top Two TC dramas ever are the time his Mom took away his Nintendo for trying on her makeup and when he wet his pants after meeting Tony Yayo for the first time.
Top two TV dramas are The Sopranos and The Wire.

=====================================
It wasn’t the same show in season 5 that it was Season 1.
I’ve been more partial to “motherfucker” lately.
My grandmother should’ve been in the sopranos.
