At last night’s BET Awards Grammy Awards, this story developed rapidly right as last night’s Grammy Awards were set to begin. And by the show’s end, it was the sidebar that became the main news attraction, especially since M.I.A. didn’t spill any ambionic fluids on stage as many hoped.
A brief synopsis…
– There was an “incident” on late Saturday night between Chris & a female who was in his limo after they left the Clive Davis Pre-Grammy party.
– On Sunday evening, Brown was booked by Los Angeles police for reportedly “making criminal threats.” He was subsequently released.
– But Brown’s under investigation for the more serious charge of felony domestic violence.
– The victim in the attack was Rihanna according to the LAPD.
– Both parties obviously missed their scheduled performances, pulling out at the last minute. Rihanna blamed her absence on “traffic.”
Hmm…perhaps I’ll come back to this as more details emerge.

Mighta been a little harsh, but maintaining a Pop persona is hard to do, especially the more checkered your personal life is. It’s not to say this wouldn’t have happened (or hasn’t happened before), but with Rihanna it’s only magnified to a higher degree.
Hopefully, he’ll get the help he needs.
