Cam’ron – “I Used To Get It In Ohio” Video Prelude
GENERAL By MZ on February 14, 2009 at 11:15 pmCam’ron comes through with a prelude for his next video “I Used To Get It In Ohio.” After Nova called out Cam for his artistic gumption, I can vouch for Cam’s Ohio connection. I’m not sure “what” he got in Ohio, but he came to my job on more than one occasion around ‘03-’04. And when it says prelude, it means prelude, as this is all cinematic endeavors.
On a side note: I got lazy and didn’t write this last month as intended. So here’s an abbreviated version.
While a lot of people wanted Dip Set to get back together strictly for the music, I really wanted Killa Season 2 to get produced. The original is easily my favorite movie by a Hip-Hop group and a hood classic. From the opening clip above to the end, the unintentional comedy factor never goes below 7. Everybody involved actually tried to act and the story wasn’t that bad to boot. So with Cam’ron seemingly invigorated and with what looks like to be better production values, I’m all for it.
At least on the hood flick side of things, 2009 is looking better already.

KILLA!!! I feel you MZ (no homo), Killa Season 2 would definitely be a welcomed sequel. This clip you posted is better than most hiphop videos that I’ve seen in a while, which is sad considering this is a prelude that is heavy on dialogue and barely any music.

killa season was the shit…i remember i paid like $25 for it from this local record store n found out best buy had it for bout 15. from the way KS1 ended it looked as tho they had already filmed it so its probly already done n sitting on a shelf somewhere.

I’ve seen stills for Killa Season 2 & they were acting like it was gonna come out a few years ago. I wouldn’t care either way because Dip Set was auxiliary outside of Cam & Rell. I need to get a physical copy of that.

Did we all see the same movie, Killa season was EASILY the worst hood flic I ever EVER seen. I remember copping it and thinking there would be some residue from Cam’s Paid in Full. Man, I aint ever been so wrong in my life. The story was cornily told, it looked horrible, and the acting was worst then all those Master P joints. Yall niggas bugging!
So bad it was good. It had way too many classic scenes. Like when Cam was crying, when that little girl got shot & jumped 5 feet to the side, the crack head (with the spider web cut) tweakin’ in the bodega… it goes on.
