im not knocking obama, im knocking us/you/me. for the past X-yrs they have been pushing us to see how far we would let them go. wars, F’d loans, exporting jobs, chipping away at education, pushing us to be an all consuming nation living in constant debt, and when they have you at the break, put the economy upside down, they throw you a crumb. now we’re all “we did it we made change” and forget and get back in line. and all inspired with (false)HOPE of change….
The problems in this country wasn’t caused in a year. They sure won’t be solved in a year either. Let that man get in office before you deem his term a failure. The video and song is dope.

G4S, you’ve got a point in so far as this is bigger than one man.
i think most sane folks know that Obama is no savior. As a Christian, I know not to confuse Barack (or Jay-Z for that matter) with Christ. But progress takes many forms… And while Obama doesn’t in and of itself automatically equate to growth, the fact is we’ve gotta give the dude a chance to screw up before we label him a screw-up.
No one person is gonna solve institutional, historic and ongoing entrenched screw-ups like what we’ve got. And once the Inauguration buzz dies down (say, by March) I think that reality will set in—cues diana ross’ love hangover— and folks will get back to asking, “Okay, now what?”
And that’s when the real fun’ll begin…
how far we would let them go.

Man, I really do hope Jeezy goes platinum behind this album. He actually tried to grow as an artist this go round. And even tho there were some missteps, it would be a shame if he felt discouraged from growing further in the future b/c of the final soundscan tally.
