To appreciate how good of a spectacle that is “The Wire” you need to start from the start and work your way through. And you will its like crack, I remember when I bought the first season I finished it in 2 nights b/c I worked during the day. And with my next paycheck bought season 2 and well you get the picture.
@ TC: I watched seasons 1 & 2 on bootleg, so my opinion is not based on a few casual viewings. Also take into account that in Canada we never got to watch the seasons on broadcast tv (like the Soprano’s) at the current time, so that’s why I was late to the party and all the hype had worn off for me. Still, a good show though but after all the hype about it I expected more.
