In other So So Def news, AHH is reporting that Jermaine Dupri will no longer serve as President of Island Records Urban Music.
Speaking on condition of anonymity, a source close to the situation confirmed to AllHipHop.com that Dupri has in fact been terminated effective immediately.
Sounds like the Rap Repo Man got the scoop on this one. JD hasn’t even been there a year and he’s already getting the boot. I hate to open up old wounds but I’m gonna.
Greg Street may have been right.
Now there’s no need for verbal immolation. Jermaine Dupri has his fair share of triumphs in the musical community. From his own stellar discog in Life In 1472 and Instructions to the platinum-produced careers of Usher and Da Brat, the résumé is impressive. But as his superiorly sculpted fiancée, the Damita Jo once quipped, “What have you done for me lately?”
An ideal question for the situation at hand. Aside from “Leanin’ and Rockin’ Wit It” in ’06, what impact has Jermaine really made in recent memory. No one can justly dispute his credentials at becoming one, but when you’re a boss, you gotta make moves. And it doesn’t seem like the train is moving anytime soon. Although, The Source seems to disagree…

bow wow gay as hell. pont blank. period. and somebody smack them fake-ass dmc glasses off JD’s face
JD is a loser. He’s squandered all his goodwill in the industry with mediocre output & fruitless signings.
Bow Wow won’t sell. He had his time and it’s gone now. His demographic has moved on.
umm…..
all J.D has done to any merit…..
he had production credits on American Gangster….I think (but that was back in late 07)
for the track Fallin’
P.S.A. – The fact you had to really think about it AND you had to cherry pick from an album he really had nothing else to do with speaks volumes.
Oh and GOOD Morning VIETNAMMMMMMMM.
Its Friday .. shake that hangover off and get to work.
I remember reading a letter back in The Source before Dupri was “revisionist historied” into being a legitimate artist (I remember Rico Wade back in 98 while in Cleveland saying that Dupri was such a beat stealer that Organized Noise would purposely leave a beat in the studio for him to steal.) where an astute reader said that Jermaine Dupri was the “worst thing to come out of the South since racism.”
An immensely true statement at the time
How quickly we forgot Kriss Kross.
That’s the first time I can recall Bow Wow not wanting to have his face associated with some bullsh*t. He didn’t even bother to look up and put his face on camera…
money ain’t a thing !
JD can do hot beats, really good instrumentals
it’s undeniable, he’s a very good producer but
but his career his too mainstream for the respect
of all the heads. yea, Fallin’ was cool. soulful is dope nevertheless and in every cases.
but bow wow …lol new jack what?!! … lol boy
A way better R&B producer then a Hip-Hop producer, but nothing he did in 08 made any noise. He needs Bow Wow as much as Bow Wow needs him at this point.
Nino & G-Money?
Well, somebody must be smokin’ that shit lol!

the sarcasm is thicker then that bitch that pissed in the street.
I’ve watched the video twice, and I still don’t know wtf they were talking about.
Sidebar – These homos I work with just scheduled a meeting from 2 – 5 pm. This is the crap I be talking about, on a muthaf*ckn FRIDAY! Don’t they realize that my mind checks out at 1pm. At that point, my mind is crowed with booze and bishes. The dude below embodies my whole movement.

^ Fuck late afternoon meetings on a Friday
album titles are like jokes….If you have to explain it…then it’s already too late
JD needs to stick to his strengths song writing, producing, and remixes. He suffers from the same performers envy as Puff which causes him to make some bad choices.
lol @ “step away from the glass dick”
Yo, these cats over at verysmartbrothas.com did this 10 songs that all Black people should know list. dude didnt list any hiphop though, so i’m thinking TSS should do a list of 10 songs all hip-hop “heads” should know…
Fallin was ghost produced by No ID
