When did it become out of fashion for us as consumers/participants and fans to express our feelings about anything hip-hop in a matter-of-fact fashion without the word hate being tossed out.

Was the statement untrue? You think so.. what is Straight out of Compton known for? its sales or the content? What about Ready to Die, or Stankonia or fuck it Electric Circus??

Because lets be real what MZ said however it might come across to you, is very much how a MAJORITY of us feel. No one said the album is garbage, nor did any say that the album won’t be remembered.. the question is what will it be remembered for more.

Stop abusing hip-hop lexicon. it is eroding your ability to be a good fan. If the words hater, Stan and swagger are what you use to describe something related to hip-hop these days, you need to unplug and get some older music.
Folks need to be able to express themselves to artist and artists, REAL artist will be able to either take that criticism and craft something that they feel is better or say fuck it and do them.

Man, I’m torn.

I can’t decide who I dislike more, Skip or little Dwayne.

And please, stop calling the Carter 3 a solid album. It has 4 or 5 good songs, at best. Hell, I’ll even give you 7.

Now, I’m no mathematician, so bear with me for a second.

7/16 = 0.4375

Out of 16 tracks, 44% are good. That is not a solid album.
