Great things happen when comment board regular Be Lund and I employ the timeless formula of Weed + Rap Music + Wikipedia.

Like what, you say? How about taking the initiative to investigate who produced Eazy E’s “Real Muthaphukkin G’s?” Who knew that it’s a guy by the name of Rhythm D, whose sparse Wikipedia page reveals that he actually made a production appearance on Snoop’s Blue Carpet Treatment with “A Bitch I Knew?” (Can we get a Hip-Hop themed “Jeopardy!” already please?)

So we took it a step further and started digging around for other work he’d done with the local acts listed on his resume, starting with the two guest emcees featured on “Real Muthaphukkin G’s,” BG Knocc Out and Dresta. Result? A local disc titled “Real Brothas.”

Worth a whole download? Of course not, but Rhythm D drops a nice old school Dre imitation on “Compton and Watts,” a synthed out Left Coast party starter that merits a listen, or several consecutive listens, depending on how much of the first ingredient you’ve absorbed when using that timeless formula.
