Dude misses the point completely. How many examples can he name? Now compare that to the fact black players are a huge majority in these sports. You go by the numbers and yes some are going to get in trouble, it’s not some systematic problem. No one makes the judgement that there’s a problem in the white community when hockey players mess up. Oh and he loses more points for preaching conformity. The NBA dress code is one of the most ridiculous things in sports.

Smith’s little rant was that (no matter if any of those other professional athletes have any better character than Plax) black athletes need to almost hold themselves to a higher standard because “the man” is always out to make an example of our community… at any cost…. and any way possible…. even if we have a new black president.

What evidence do you have that John Mara and Steve Tisch feel that they own Plax? He brought a gun into a club in NYC with no license, no concealed-carry permit, shot himself and could have injured others, got arrested, and is dealing with the consequences. How does that equate to the owners feeling that they own him???
And as far as your slavery comment goes…please. These athletes are paid more than God to play in a game. That shit does not hold water.

The majority of professional athletes are black. If 3 out of 10 white athletes break the law, and 3 out of 10 black athletes break the law, and 80% of athletes are black, then guess what…you’re going to hear more about black athletes breaking the law than white athletes.
And let’s look a bit further into this. Football and basketball have the highest crime rate amongst American professional sports. The one thing these sports have in common is an availability to impoverished, inner city areas that are predominantly occupied by blacks. And if there’s one thing we all know it’s that poor blacks are more involved in crime. And don’t give me any shit about that statement, either. We’re all here on TSS for the music, and the majority of rap music is centered around impoverished blacks committing crimes.
All I’m saying is if you take a small amount of apples and a large amount of oranges, there will be more bad oranges than bad apples. The numbers don’t lie. Say what you will, but that’s the way it is.
