Mick Boogie + Adele… 1988
AUDIO By Gotty™ on December 17, 2008 at 6:51 amThis one finally found it’s way to the inbox late last night, just in time for Hump Day. Hit the break for more info, tracklisting & the link.
Fresh off the success of the internationally-acclaimed Viva La Hova, the MB team have reunited to introduce rock star Adele (nominated for 4 Grammy awards) to a whole new audience.
Adele’s album 19 set trends and created influence in the pop, rock and international worlds. But what would happen if the vocals and instruments of 19 were combined with the hip-hop sensibilities of the late 1980s, considered by many hip-hop’s golden age?
The result is the new release from Mick Boogie… Adele: 1988.
1. Chasing 1988: The Intro (f/ 6th Sense)
2. Day Dreams (nVMe Remix)
3. Tired (6th Sense Remix)

5. My Same (Garbs Infinite Remix)
6. Melt My Heart To Stone (Kickdrums Remix f/ Big Pooh)

mornin yawl
listening too, i’m on track 2, and it’s sounding good
just curious though…what genre would y’all categorize this under on your iPod/iTunes?
Duh, that’s easy Teef. File it under “BBD” - mentally hip-hop, smoothed out on the R&B tip with a pop feel appeal to it
Mash-up?
I have a feeling this shit gonna stay in rotation for a minute..
Or what Gotty said.

From a Soulja Boy interview:
Your first album was a hit; do you feel any pressure for this second album to be as successful?
Not really, at first I was kind of scared. I was thinking about how am I going to top Crank Dat, was I going to out due my first album and break all these records again. Basically I just came to a conclusion that, there won’t be another song that will top Crank Dat. It was a super duper big song, not just for me, but for music period. That was like one of the biggest songs of our time, 100 years from now they’re still going to be playing that song. So after I accepted it, all I know now is I have to continue to make good music period. I don’t need to make music with anything in my mind that I need to top my first album or my first single. I just need to have in mind that I need to make good music and that’s it.

I don’t really hate the kid as much as most do around here, but the statement that he makes in this answer shows you how delusional money can make you..
