So this guy decided to analyze who was better between King James and Kobe Bryant.
I want to start a “Things Bored People Do” category for acts of stupidity like this. This was the type of argument you’d have with your boys after a game just to leave the venue excessively heated for no apparent reason. It gives no added value to your life, just an increase in possibility of dying from hypertension.
As children, we learn from that and, then, grow up.
Some of us grow into adults that have learned what buttons not to push or, at least, when to push them. We limit a comparison like this to categorical disputes, or shit-talking and blurts in between games. (e.g “Ooooh. See, Kobe wouldn’t have missed that shot.”)
Others grow up into douchebags like this and get jobs at Fox Sports and ESPN, supposing that making up categories and using mediocre video editing skills makes for a good argument. If “hunger” really makes a difference, I know some kids in Somalia with some ball skills (pause) that should be top draft picks. I’m just saying.
Bullshit aside, who’s the better player?

Last year it was clearly Kobe, but Lebron has stepped his game up a notch this season. With more focus on getting to the bucket instead of settling for the 3-ball & a heightened level of intensity on the defensive end, Lebron is an unstopable force on the hardwood. At 6 ft 8 in, 250lbs., he’s too strong for most players to stop once he sets his mind on getting to the bucket. Fouling is the only option & even then his strength still allows him to finish. His jump shot continues to improve & Lebron is only 24 years old, not even in his prime yet. Kobe has that killer instinct that few players have, but I think Lebron will eventually get there, preferably in a Knick uniform =).

@ Contra: That “things that bored people do” idea would be dope, you could start by adding that dumbass “professor” who thinks that hiphop has its origins in Scotland.
Kobe is the better player right now and will be until LBJ gets those 3 rings that Kobe has.
However, LBJ is playing defense, wants the ball at the end of the game, and is hitting his free throws…he will over take Kobe shortly.
BTW LBJ is not leaving 20 million plus on the table to play for the Knicks. Remember Cleveland can sign him for 7 years at about 135-140 million. Knicks can only offer 6 years at a max 120.

And Lebron was a multi-millionaire before he ever stepped on an NBA court. It’s about winning a championship as well as becoming a global icon & New York will be in a position to help him aquire both.

Lebron is like Mike, where he makes the players around him better. Kobe has never proven his ability to do that. He couldn’t even get along with the best player he’ll ever play alongside, Shaq. Lebron is a playmaker who takes over when needed. Kobe is 30 years old & he’s just learning how to do that.

Rings mean everything in the NBA. I’m a Shaq fan, but he did play with a guy name Penny and couldn’t get along with him. Shaq was mad jealous of Kobe when they played together, and started to sour on Wade towards the end because he wasn’t the man.
Kobe and Jason Kidd taught them guys this summer how to be professionals with his work ethic and J-Kidd’s on court leadership. . Nothing wrong with being second, but until LBJ gets a ring he will never pass Kobe (at least while he is playing).
That’s why K.G. will always be 2nd to #21 because of them rings. Love K.G. though…not hatin’.
