Growing up, it was a sure bet that my house would be filled with Christmas music from Thanksgiving to the start of the New Year, as a mix of religious and secular music was on almost 24/7. Even after Santa proved to be just a myth, it still couldn’t put a damper on the holiday spirit & it still remains special to this day. Out of the countless albums I’ve heard, A Motown Christmas is definitely my favorite.
From Micheal’s opening vocals as the Jackson 5 kicks things off on “Santa Claus Is Coming To Town” until Marvin Gaye closes it out with “I Want To Come Home For Christmas,” the disc is full of classic renditions of holiday favorites. I’m sure it’s been posted more than once here over. But if you haven’t heard it or are looking something keep the good vibes flowing today, this is the album to do that.
My e-gift to you.
