Say what you will about Young; he managed to tip-toe his way towards “social consciousness” in his raps with The Recession. It’s nothing on the level X-Clan or The Coup. What it is though is Jeezy expanding his scope every so slightly so that it’s not so consumed with himself & the trap.

video is so so. I dig the post apocalyptic/niggas flippin out tone to it. but dudes stompin the yard and the rough edits or nature shots was a lil much. That video the Foo Fighters for “Best of You” was WAY better at that. Dope track tho. I love this one from Jeezy.
