Shoutouts to Track for sending this morning’s Boondocks through to me. They’ve been going back to the strips from when Puff, excuse me Diddy, decided he didn’t want to be Puff anymore & was reshaping his image after the J.Lo incident.
I still think this dude was the cause of Hip-Hop’s demise. And I still intend to type up the post with my reasons why…one day.

Damnit Envy…I was gonna do a Best of Budden right after this Best of Royce gets done…
I blame Nas for hip-hop’s death. When he writes his essay, I’ll write my paragraph.
As bad as Puffy is, the hip hop fan has to take some of the responsibilty for Hip Hop’s current plight. The industry is bascially copy cat driven; they will only put out what works. Of course there are always exceptions to the rule; but if PE didn’t sell the records they sold, Major labels would not have put out groups like The Coup, Paris, X-Clan. If Queen Latifiah, Tribe, De La, JB’s did do well companies wouldn’t have scrambled to sign PRT, YZ, Brand Nubian and other groups and artist of the Afrocentric era.
88 keys the death of adam? does anybody have a link
nah yo. it was all Puff. I been holding onto to this tidbit but…I got the glove. And I bet it fits.
I wouldn’t touch any glove of Puffy’s; he practices tantric sex. lol
travis barker and dj am “FIX YOUR FACE”……think about it……too soon?
^
actually that dropped prior the accident
OK shinny suits aside, the man did his thang for hip-hop…Puff brought Mary J, Biggie, Craig Mack etc… and if you listen to the original versions of some of the songs of Ready to Die you can see Puff knows what he is doing, his influence made that album a classic.
