B.) Soul has been the mood for the past few days.
C.) Note to R&B singers: It doesn’t have to be raunchy to be considered raw.
Word up.

I wish you had told that to Ray J before he did that piss poor mixtape with Kay Slay. LOL

negative lol. not that there’s anything wrong w/it. just not my flavor.
A lot of these new jack underage postpubescent pretenders don’t garner ANY respect whatsoever. Their over-the-top raunchiness is merely superficial. These little swaggerific fucktards actually lack the emotion to make any real type of connection with their listeners, nor do they make any type of meaningful music.
They’re dancing Pinnochios with better bodies and less personality.
And the Gepettos that run shit need to get whacked Sopranos style, lol
Cameo is ill…
I thought this post was about Neneh Cherry
Back in the days, double entendre used to get respect, but singers these days don’t have to be clever. They can sing about exactly what they want which is the problem. Artists get props for being overly sexual & graphic, so why waste time being creative. You can fault the artist but the consumer
has to shoulder the blame as well. Where does Usher’s “Trading Places” fall? Clever or borderline soft-core porn lol?
LMAO @ Teeph

Well played, sir. Well played.
i love sushi.
P.S. I’ve been bumping The-Dream’s album since it dropped. Dude’s writing style is plainspeak, no fancy words to muddle up the song lol. The-Dream may not have the most poetic lyrics & the songs are tinged with a raunchiness that has become all too commonplace these days, but this is a fun album, IMO, it’s the best debut from an R&B artist this year.
The sad part is that soon autotune won’t be the gimmick. It’ll be the norm. Even now, it’s almost like the gimmick is actually being able to sing. An artist like Jazmine Sullivan is almost looked at as an oddity amongst a field of synthetic, “vocally challenged” artists who lack the soul, couth & talent of the greats.
the last kiss LP,
iz needed indis fuc¤ing
rap game !
I can enjoy Dream’s album in small doses. His voice…mehhh!
“Purple Kisses” “I Love Ya Girl” = pure piffery.
My joints are “She Needs My Love” & “Luv Songs”. Def Jam dropped the ball. The voice is an aquired taste, but dude can write a hit & his signature riffs along with Tricky Stewart on the track make for a pretty good album.
oww like wavy !
Co-sign Alpha yet again.
If I ever had a reason to give .25 Cigs, Love-Hate would get a 4.25. The first 9 songs flow like marble cake.
I’m thinking Ryan Leslie will do big things with his joint when it’s finally unveiled in 2016
Yeah he’s a cornball, but dammit the weirdo can make a hit.
Anyone remember this?

^ LOL
My anticipation for that Ryan Leslie album has started to wane. They shoulda dropped “Diamond Girl, “Addiction”, & then an album to go along with it. It’s not like dude has a ton of appeal with the ladies anyway, his strength was the music.
Stay Tuned,, Its Friday and I feel like dropping some Old School
Wow, I forgot all about that Smoking Session. You can definitely hear the Prince influence all throughout “Love/Hate”.
It’s almost like a new millenium “For You” with a dash of “Purple Rain” tossed in for flavor lol.
The Dream you can find in the dictionary under Corny or Cornball.
“obama will pay for my gas” hahaha

Right next to Boogie Tonight lol.
Man I hate to say it but I kinda like that dream album. Purple Kisses is one of the dopest songs on the album. Plus that’s the joint to play when ready to wax your shortie!! Yessirr (c) Skateboard P
Isaac Hayes did a bad ass cover of this. Most of his covers were greater or equal to the originals. Never Can Say Goodbye was a whole diff song after he got a hold of it.
Quick shout out 2 Stax Records!
