As it turns out, not every fan of the Detroit Lions is rooting for the unprecedented historical run that would be an 0-16 season.
Some fans actually are upset about the losing — no matter how entertaining it has been over the years.
But some enterprising soul has had enough and has a suggestion for the Ford family: Take the Lions to Los Angeles.
At least that’s what can be gleaned from the Web site latakethelions.com.
Here’s what they have to say (by the way, T-shirts are available just in time for Christmas!):
“If you were born in Michigan, then you probably are cursed with being a Lions fan. One playoff win since 1957! As hard as you may try not to care, they still suck you in. So it’s time to show the ownership what you think they should do to improve the team: Move!
“At least then we could get an expansion team with new ownership and a new opportunity for fans that deserve better.”
Gosh darn it.
This is only depressing because I know it might be for the best… and when you love something so much, sometimes you have to let it go. The upshot: I live in Los Angeles, so I may have the opportunity to boo my favorite/least favorite team in person.
This is going to be the saddest Thanksgiving loss of all, the resulting sorrows of which I plan on drowning in a vat of gravy and wine, resting my head squarely on a pumpkin pie.

There was a time when Bobby Brown was a rowdy and hood as R+B could get ans still cross over and get mainstream attention. No do rags, no timbs and jeans… but no matter who your girl was, no matter how suburbanish, or bougie, you had to keep Bob away from her if you wanted to keep her.

Man, I swear when Detroit almost beat my Bears a couple of weeks ago – HAD they won, I’d be shopping for a new tv, desk, and other household items right now. Shit would have been broken and I would stop watching football until next season.
Sorry LC. I think Lions fans are allowed to hop on any bandwagon they like. So have no shame LC, hop on that undefeated Titans bandwagon this season. They play Detroit on turkey day in a battle of a winless team versus an undefeated team. Make your turkey day a more joyful one and root for the Titans (though Detroit COULD pull off the shocker since this game is essentially their super bowl…naaaaah)

as for those atrocious Lions. The ford fam should sell them. This ain’t back in the day when motor city was making the only cars on the road. They’re losing money with these bums when they could be funneling that money into their company and trying to save peoples jobs! Toyota is also posting the same losses but you don’t see them begging the government for a handout! And another thing to note is that even though they’re losing money hand over fist they have yet to LOSE A SINGLE EMPLOYEE! meanwhile GM has cut 34,000 jobs. Toyota would rather INVEST in their employees. Their philosophy is that the employees are the company’s most valuable asset and that by keeping employees happy when they make it through these tough times it’s benefit them tremendously. Happy employee’s = a better workers = a better product…
Ford’s troubles with the Lions should have made it obvious they’d struggle as a company too…
