While I half-heartedly agree and understand the sentiments expressed from my esteemed colleague Contra™, I do feel Dexter’s need to remind the twenty million or so Kanye supporters why he needs to get a share of the love as well. Just imagine a Cons-less Beats, Rhymes, And Life. Disregard that. It’ll make it even more the monotonous.

I think he kinda deserves to have better success. he’s definitely got the potential…he’s what I call a “middle ground” rapper. I coined that phrase just now, just for him.

Cons seems to just been around forever and never blown up. Back in the day with de la soul and tribe then he disappeared for a while. Kanye got big and back comes the cons. He has all the right tools but is ugly as a motherfucker and just doesnt seem to get the recognition he deserves.

Cons’ll never blow. He’s a mid level rapper who doesn’t have a broad appeal. Those choppers just don’t scream crossover lol. A ‘Ye/Tip album would be a good look, but not enough to push him out of the mid level range.

Fam, people forgot who the eff Cons was until ‘Ye helped reintroduce him to Hip-Hop. I mean, dude went from being the newest member of Tribe to working a regular 9 to 5. They’ve helped each other but without ‘Ye, Cons is Tip’s hypeman. Or even worse, he’s still living with Ma Dukes is St. Albans.

Musicians I have met have not been more ethical than the average person. I know of a more who have exploited up and coming artists than those who have helped.
