I’m not gonna preach to you about voting because I generally don’t feel like it’s my position. Honestly, I don’t feel comfortable preaching to you about things of which I’m not the most informed nor do I wholeheartedly care about. I’ll reserve that space for those who are more knowledgeable & passionate. Surely there are other sites and even others who comment here who can give you more convincing arguments. And there’s plenty of celebrity fanfare suggesting reasons why you should take part in the political process.
However, if you’re considering voting in this year’s presidential elections, the deadline to register is fast approaching in many states. In fact, it’s Monday for most. If you’re in South Carolina, Rhode Island & a few other states, you’re already left out because the deadline has passed.
Check the deadlines here.
And if you’re lazy as me but still like to take part, you can always vote in absentee. Just dig around a little for the info. Generally, all the info you need can be found via this particular site — http://www.usa.gov/Citizen/Topics/Voting/Register.shtml.
*Dusts hands together*
There you go and our part is done. You are now armed with the information; what you do with is all up to you.
Now here’s some music (because that is what we do best) to listen to while you read up & register.

PLEASE STOP SPREADING THAT!! YOU CAN WEAR YOUR OBAMA SHIRT!! How can they deny your freedom of speech? You can wear your Obama shirt, hats, underwear, pins, etc. But you can’t go parading around the polling place yelling Obama 08 or Mcain 08, that there is illegal. But, you can wear your shirts.
I’m not gonna preach to you about voting because I generally don’t feel like it’s my position. Honestly, I don’t feel comfortable preaching to you about things of which I’m not the most informed nor do I wholeheartedly care about.

voting is over-rated. doesnt change the fact that the U.S. is a imperialistic nation and still rapes many impoverished nation for its goods. but to each is own.
i will vote, but i live in texas… my vote doesn’t count… republicans will win texas regardless…
This’ll be the first election I’ve participated in. It’s the first time I’ve felt I’ve had a reason to.
@ big rome
Actually you can’t wear any candiates clothing its concerned campaigning and its not allowed within 150 ft of poll site anywhere

It is true, I worked election polls and it is a rule that you can’t wear anything associated with any political party. I had to have a lady escorted out the polling booth because she refused to take off a button for George Bush.
Well, I’m in NC and this is what I’ve heard:
