To keep TC’s high school basketball analogy going B.o.B. would be the guy whose family moved up north in the middle of the season. Rumors would float around school of dude’s exploits back home, but no one had seen it with their own eyes yet. You might see him at lunch holding his own with Blu, Corey, & Mickey but steered clear of the basketball coach at all costs. Why? Because he saw the move as a chance to start over and pursue his interests outside of the court. So on game day he’d be the one holding the crowd’s attention during timeouts and stepping on the court to put on a short show at halftime.
When finally approached by the coach about joining the team his response would be “Maybe next year.”

they REALLLY need to get Dro off the bench & build his starpower up — cuz that dude is more entertaining than damn near anybody in the game.
They need to give him the superstar budget & the 5 big singles kinda push & make it really pop off for themselves if they want Grand Hustle to gain ground besides Tip.
Tip was given the chance to get where he is because they kept putting out single-after-single-after-single from Trap Muzik even though it wasn’t quite popping off like it should’ve.
& It didn’t go fully plat at first — took the followup with Urban Legend to cement his status as actually being “worth” that many singles saleswise.
Dro might need the same, but he’s a fucking star. However, them having a roster full of release dates means they’ll probably give up on all of them way too soon just to release the next one…
