I personally get extremely peeved when I see a comedian roast someone then kiss that person’s ass when the celebrity shows up.
Good thing David Letterman isn’t that kind of comedian.
If you thought he ethered McCain during the no-show, just wait until you see Dave grill McCain on his mudslinging and, of course, not showing up a few weeks ago. McCain clearly expected a softy but giving his “I screwed up” line and thinking that would appease Mr. Letterman. Thankfully Letterman didn’t take kindly to the smoke being blown up his ass. These are the jabs we wished Obama would’ve delivered in the third debate.
Kudos to David Letterman for the way he’s gone about the election process so far.
Sorry you have to watch the commercial first, but it’s worth it.
You can view the full version here if you are so inclined.

serves the old man right
lol @ “I haven’t had so much fun since my last interrogation…”
peep when McRage simultaneously raises both eyebrows and/or arms
Gotta give the old geezer some props for having the stones to go back on the show and take his lumps.
We’re looking at our future president.

McCain ’08!
way to go dave…he gets mad respect for keeping it trill with old dude.
naw fuck McCain..
Obama 08
maybe dave letterman should handle the debates in 2012. i smell a Keith Olberman-esque move here.
I wasn’t aware that David Letterman was a “comedian”. When did this happen?
Def not a McCain supporter (has anyone run a more pathetic campaign? Maybe Bob Dole), but the Letterman love is unjustified in my opinion. Dude may care about the country, but he cares about his ego more. He didn’t diss McCain because he likes Obama; he dissed McCain because McCain had the nerve to actually concentrate on the business of the country instead of spending time on a lame program that’s 20 years out of date.
