Smooth Da Hustler..tell me how the ref stopped it too soon? Kimbo’s arms were completely stiff and his eyes were glazed..he was out of it man..he starts wrestling the ref because he thinks he’s still fighting..he was out..GOOD stoppage

kimbo was 3-0 comin into the fight, i mean he isnt a trained fighter but he is a hard hittin brawler and he shoulda won the fight, anyone see how scared the dude looked, he punched him as he was fadin back and got lucky and took advantage of his quick shot by jumpin on kimbo. What most likely happened is the shot he took made his head jerk back quick and cut off the o2 to his noggin, thats why he couldnt put his hands up to defend….

This shit happens to almost every fighter. They lose. It happens. A “non-hyped” fighter doesn’t have to deal with his first loss on such a public stage. Unfortunately for Kimbo, he’s been highly touted from day one thus his first loss came in a very public showing.

If he’s really passionate about fighting (which I think he is) he’ll do what every other fighter who looses does. Train harder and go out there to try and get another win.

^I think I gave the dude plenty of credit saying pretty much the exact same things you just did. Yea, he pulled himself up from nothing. It’s a great story. Had he been allowed to come up like any other fighter, then a knockout would mean nothing. But he’s been pushed as the next big thing when the fact is, he lacked the skill of a basic fighter (as shown in his last fight when he almost lost to some basic ground and pound). But the fact is, he was billed as unbeatable and hyped way beyond his skill set. Now, he lost. The insane amount of hype has been bursted. Now, he’s gotta build himself up. He’s not a viable headliner. I am a fan. I watched to see him win.
And fuck outta here with that “internet obscurity” bullshit, homie

i expect this from a site where theres no MMA knowledge…how do you consider Kimbo anything but a success…

a man (black or otherwise) was able to pick himself up off the streets (literally…dude was a fucking BUM living in his whip) to multi-million dollar superstar status and stayed 100 the whole time…

Kimbo is a baby in the game and its rediculous to say he’s done because of a loss to a better and more experience yet unknown fighter…Kimbo and his hands went from internet obscurity (kind of like this article you wrote) to a household name…

was he tossed into the fire too soon…YES….was he untested and now exposed…ABSOLUTELY…is this the last time you’ll hear of or see Kimbo….HARDLY

in all honesty…this is great for me and Zuffa and the worse EliteXC does the better…but give the dude the credit he deserves, just as i know he would for you

This article truly shows David D’s lack of MMA knowledge. No disrespect, anyone writing for TSS is good money to me, but to call Kimbo a farce like Yahoo “pundits” have done is simply unfair.

Now, Seth is not top tier by any means, but a no-name? Please fact check on that homey. Seth was a veteran on The Ultimate Fighter reality show and fought on the big stage a good amount before moving onto smaller venues (Elite XC).

What people within the MMA community DO know is that Kimbo is still a baby in his sport, and unless he’s some sort of fighting machine like Fedor, he’ll take his fair share of losses. Elite XC did want to baby him due to his starpower, but with those small ass gloves in MMA, anything can happen and we saw that last night. The true test of a fighter is how well he deals after a loss.

Noone knows what “a puncher’s chance” better than those who know Mixed Martial Arts. Even if Elite goes bankrupt(which they and the Dream promotion prolly will, sad as it is), Kimbo will still have fights and a name to live off of.

Kimbo is a humble dude and taught by one of the biggest legends in MMA. For all you talking down about him being a washup with less than 5 fights to his resume, please have a little objectivity. He’s not done, nor will he be if he loses another fight. Or another. Just ask Houston Alexander. And cans can takeout bigger, better, faster fighters. Minowa, Ryo Chonan, or even Matt Serra would agree.
