Kanye West - Robocop

As evidenced in our poll when “Coldest Winter” leaked, the majority of folks are looking forward to this album. I am still undecided & will refrain from voting until I hear 808’s… in it’s entirety. Truth be told, the only song I’ve listened to is “Love Lockdown” and I’m pretty ambivalent towards it for the most part.
My plan is to wait, hear it all as a whole…then be excited by Kanye’s masterful use of Roger Troutman’s ghost…or to be disappointed. Part of me says that ‘Ye’s audio-blogging & the only one that’s going to love this album besides him is one or the other of the Alexis chicks.

Kanye posted all the diff versions of LL on his blog. Not sure if he’s done the same for some of these newer tracks yet.

Maybe he is just releasing “joke” or “fake” tracks to throw everyone off and then release a banger album?

this song is just not good point blank period. songs sometimes sound better in the context of an album though……looks like ye is going for a cohesive sound from first to last song so thats good. all the classic albums have done that…….
this song is pure trash. it sounds like he’s singing in the shower in between real recording sessions. let’s hope that’s the case.

I’ve refused to listen to anything since Love Lockdown. I’m not a big fan of whatever is going on. I’ll give the album a spin before condemning Ye to a fiery death in Hell.

Damn Ye is on some futuristic Will.I.AM type ish! This is on some pop type ish, don’t hear the hip hop in it. Could it be Ye is going to drop his first album that is a flop? Love Lockdown and Heartless are dope nuff props due but on the real how long will those songs be in your rotation, keep it real!? A year from now will we be talking about how great the album was or will it be one of the biggest disappointments of 08? Ye’s up against Q-Tip, Foreign Exchange, Common and Jay. What I have heard from them compared to Ye… . Does not look good for Mr. West. Man I hope you are right Solo!! !

big fan of “coldest winter”, not so much with “robocop”.
i hated it like urybody else on the first listen … but i gotta admit … gave it a few more spins and the song as a whole grew on me pretty quick. worst of the 4 out so far, but i digg it now! hahahaha
